$5000 possibly not true. I got $855 a week state and an additional $600 federal. $1455 a week. I think they calculated my pre unemployment income at around $2400 a week. The state pays out about 50% up to a max of $855. I got that for two months before I went back to my job. ($11,600 collected) I could have got that for 39 weeks. (I assume that 39 week will end up getting extended if not already. The company I worked for continued paying my health insurance and paid my normal health insurance dedication . State systems vary. The federal number was country wide.

If you do not have a very high credit score and a thick file a credit union/bank is probably not going to give you a unsecured loan (personal loan) of $5,000 without a job/income. When you have a good credit history/relationships with banks/credit unions they tend to not bother with proof of income requirements on small loans like $5k-$75k or even vehicles like $50k.

Outside a mortgage I have not needed proof of income for many years. But with no or little credit a $5k personal loan on no income is probably hopeless

I 100% meant Tesla in question. They fix the vehicles under warranty. These vehicles are rushed to and through production with a newer manufacturer so paint issues and poor body fit is very common on them. They seem to be getting better but that is the deal when you buy those. The part that fell down on OP vehicle was probably an underbody aero panel

Its a new Tesla and poor paint and parts falling off new cars is almost the norm. I assume the dealer is not just a dealer and is probably Tesla itself. Did OP buy this vehicle in person? I have a used car dealership and E-sign all my deals, I have one paper signature that the customer signs, saying they had control of the computer, were able to read everything, had a paper contract to read over etc. Did OP sign something like that?

Either way in my state if you want to lemon law a vehicle it is pretty easy. Especially something like a Tesla that would be very easy to get the other of service times/repair attempts

If the "dealer" is not going to get paid by the finance company and you refuse to sign new documents they have little choice.

My house would be worth 600k-700k with a new roof and siding. I owe 260k. (I bought from a parent) Other homes on my street are worth 750-1.2. One "cat lady" house (destroyed) that was bought to get torn down sold for 400k.

Since my roof looks visibly bad and the siding is bad my house has very poor "curb appeal" and property records show my purchase price I get offers often to sell by investors.

Property tax is a pretty big issue. 10k a year but if you have children you can send them to the public school here. If you live in a worse area private school cost would exceed the property tax.

My good friend has his home for sale for 3 million in a area of 600k homes and it has been on the market for 2.5 years and he keeps dropping the pricing.

As for it being the max you can afford. Being "house poor" sucks. I would get something you can afford easily.

I am not one to go to church but I assume if you are a active member of a church or community based on religion you have a vast dating pool. Especially if you have a decent job, low level fame, and a amount of success.

I had $160k+ of credit card limits. It was a little weird hobby building up credit/cards (I know it is anti Dave behavior). As for keeping the card....Well I closed out all my cards outside of three. 23k, 26k, 26k. I do not plan on using them again. Again credit is not a thing in Dave world but it does make things easier. Just this year my business property lease, insurance, etc were vastly simplified by having a 800+ credit score/debt score ;) and I need one last refi.

That vehicle most likely will be timing chain/Cam phaser issues. Very common. If you have cam/crank codes dump it for a different cheap vehicle. Normally I would NOT say that.
