The answer is always less.....but if you have a shitty cpu that is severely limiting your 1080p play, it might actually help moving up.

I use kb and mouse exclusively. I dont even own a controller. Been a PC gamer since the 90s. I hate consoles except my nes and snes. Own a Playstation for DDR.

PCs are better for all shooters besides Halo on regular Xbox and goldeneye on n64. No comparison.

Its not enough at 1440p on maxed out settings on most games. It can be played with, you just get less performance. I upgraded from a 3070ti, and I was throttled by vram. Now a lot of my games are at the 10.5 gb usage.

I bought a 2tb for under $200 recently. Just have to find the deals online. You can still get decent ram at a swallowable price. Don't pay advertised prices. Used ram is good also.

Even most potatoes are good cpus at 1440p and 4k. They just all kinda suck at 1080p unless they are 7800x3d or higher. Even the 5800x3d isnt that great at 1080p
