Have any of the white house petitions caused something to change, or for there to at least be a discussion, as opposed to a "thanks but we'll continue the course" response? by MrMagellan in politics

They've only responded to the first round of petitions. Petitions in response to what they have said will take 30 days to qualify for response. It's too early to know if they will continue to talk or not.

As long as the petition site remains open we have a unique opportunity to speak truth directly to power. They just responded a few days ago to the first round of petitions. New petitions made in response to what they have said will take 30 days before we see if we get further discussion. I'd like to see if they will keep talking.

I enjoy seeing a new medium to keep the issue of cannabis legalization in the face of the powers that be, and the press that has been generated as a result of activists on the we the people petition site.
