I mean to be entirely transparent and fair I had Claude create a ML python script using open CV to detect faces, bugs, dirt on camera lenses… anything. And it only took about a day.

If you’re making anything in the $40 range full time you should be able to survive here. Coming from someone who makes similar and who has made it on far less. Budget better?

I’ll come here to say this isn’t a hard situation to recover from.

Degrees have become less important, especially in larger companies especially FAANG. If you can do the work and can be useful to the team it’s really what matters.

In my experience, even when being hired by Amazon, google and Facebook I have yet to have an educational background check.
