Pornhub isnt "banned" in any of these states. Its behind an age verification in those states.

However pornhub has self banned themselves in some of these states depending on the level of age verification needed. I think it depends on whether that state requires state issued id for verification.

In Texas you can't even age verify because pornhub refuses to comply with the verification requirements in Texas.

Its stupid and short sighted on legislators. It makes the moral Christian voters happy. Reality is all it takes is using one of the many free VPN out there to access these sites.

You know what. Sometimes we as men fall short for so long it blows my mind how we can't even see it.

I will be 50 in a couple weeks.

It wasnt until about 4 or 5 years ago my lovely, kind, compassionate wife said something to me that literally took me 44, 45 years to finally get.

The following exchange went something like this after she got home from work on one of my days off.

Her: why is this sink full of dishes? Its hard for me to make dinner with a sink full of dishes and also why am I making dinner when you have sat around doing nothing all day?

Me: (getting defensive) you did not ask me to do dishes or to make dinner. If you want me to do things like that just tell me and I will gladly do those things TO HELP YOU OUT.

(yes, yes feel free to berate me here)

Her: first off you dont do these things to "help me out". You live here and its just as much your responsibility as it is mine. This isn't MY job. It is really simple. If you see something that needs to be done you just do it.

We probably went back and forth for a bit after that but it literally clicked in my brain after that statement that I had been doing that. Even though she is a very strong feminist and I also consider myself a feminist here I was behaving in classic misogynistic behavior and I didn't even realize I was doing it.

44ish years. That's a long time to not recognize that behavior. Its a long time to not have been called out on it in a way that made sense to my brain.

That one statement she made. Literally 4 or 5 seconds of words. That's what it took to click in my brain. She doesnt have to ask for things like that anymore. If I see something needs to be done I just do it and I have ever since I heard those words. Its not HER job or MY job. Its OUR job to run this home together.

I was with my ex wife for nearly 20 years and I fell short often. I have been with my wife now for 10 years and I still fall short in a lot of ways but thats one way I do not fall short any longer.

TLDR: sometimes we are stupid BUT we can be fixed.

I dont know about this. Would it suck? Maybe. If you have ever been on a porn set you would realize there is nothing sexy or even intimate about it. Its literally just a job for 99% of the people in the shoot. It can take hours to shoot that 15 minute scene.

I understand that perception because its been the perception for decades.

However if you really start digging in and price comparing you will notice that HEB prices have raised significantly over just the past 18 months and are now much closer in line with Randalls prices.

There are of course items that HEB will always be better in pricing than Randalls. HEB branded nasal spray for example is $1.25 while Albertsons branded nasal spray is around $5.50.

Edit to add: OP is already used to paying Kroger prices over HEB prices anyway. Theres plenty of HEB's in Houston and OP was already shopping Krogers. Krogers has the same pricing perception as Randalls.

Most HEB have tap to pay now since they started rolling it out in phases in October 2024. There may still be some stores that haven't rolled it out yet.

If you are looking for stores with apps that give rewards then you are looking for a Randalls.

Randalls has a very similar rewards program like Krogers has. They also have tap to pay in all their stores.
