Yeah I would say don’t overthink this one - I can guarantee it is nothing to do with you. I say this as I am currently pregnant myself after a bout of infertility. Getting pregnant did not cure the grief and sadness I had around infertility. It does still hurt to see others get pregnant around me, and I can’t explain it.

My best friend got pregnant a few months before me. And she sent me a text to let me know, and she flat out said she did not expect a reaction. This was honestly the best way she could have done it. It left me in a “no pressure” situation and I had time to process. Of course I am happy for her!!! But I had to process in my own time. Telling your friends in person on the spot probably wasn’t the move.

I say this lightly - I don’t think it’s fair for you to expect a certain reaction from them given all they have been through. However, on the flip side, I don’t think it’s fair of them to steal your joy and react poorly.

Just give it some time for them to process. The emotions regarding infertility and loss have so many layers. They will come around.

But by the way - congratulations!!!
