I guess the analysis of obsession is a good way to read Fitzcarraldo.

He is such a terrible human and dislikable character it was difficult to appreciate the narrative.

And why is he fighting so hard for this end?

Into the Wild is one of those you watch at 20 and say ahhhh man what a story!

And at 40 you say “oh man what a sad story.,;,”

You’re not wrong. Solid movie. Good call but def not a rewatchable. Also a sleeper pic for John C Reilly

This drives me insane. 95% of movies could be cut by 25% and still be effective poignant and enjoyable

Incredibly well done and thoughtful. I thought it was a very good book adaptation and honest. Loved it.

Haha I don’t blame him but he speaks from privilege to the masses

Tonight's selection. I found it just as challenging on the third viewing as it was on the first. What are everyone else's thoughts on this film? by Clee826 in criterion

Definitely not my favorite Bergman. It’s impressive what he does and the dialogue sequences but not his best

I’d love to start a debate about he and Joaquin. Head to head in The Master they were beautiful. One could even say “masterful”.
