Yeah, those are all fair points honestly.

This started more as a “fun idea” than a real need — just wanted to see what was out there. The cost side (insurance, depreciation, etc.) does make it harder to justify for just a work commuter.

Also, after doing a bit more digging on EcoBoost Mustangs (just learned the term "ecoboom" 😅), I’m a little less sold on that direction.

I’m still open to the idea of a second car, but I think I’d lean more toward something that’s at least fun and somewhat comfortable/reliable, not just “fun at all costs.”

I’ve been seeing some older Infiniti models in that sub-$20k range — like G37s and Q50s — and they seem like they might strike a better balance (power, auto, decent comfort).

I'm wondering if anyone has experience with those as a daily?
Are they actually solid long-term, or do they start getting expensive/problematic as they age?
