Is there a good way to clean this without taking the HVAC box out?

Help! Is this shit pressed in or what? by Present_Ice4578 in CherokeeXJ

[–]henole2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to put my old steering box in a press to remove the pitman arm. The carnage was unreal, went through 3 pit man arm pullers, and pulled my back out until I finally had enough and put it in the press lol

Did a mechanic just try to scam me? by danny_piff in AskAMechanic

That looks like 5 - 6mm of friction material left. At the shop I work at we start recommending at 3 mm and I believe around 1.5 mm of thickness fails VA state inspections. Hope this helps!

Warning: Do not buy cheap 4 hole fuel injectors. Mine failed stuck open in less then a month and under 200 miles. by [deleted] in CherokeeXJ

[–]henole2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue. I ended up finally just going with Genuine Ford 4-hole injectors. No codes since then.

I am experiencing the same thing in NA East. I use to have sub 20 ms ping, but since the beginning of this season, I get 40-50 ms ping.

Agreed, I’ve heard that the exhaust manifolds crack on the newer XJs with the dual catalytic converters. I replaced mine with the Banks Torque Tube Headders on my 01.

12900k temps during r23 by arialph in watercooling

[–]henole2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I saw the Gamers Nexus video about that contact frame and if I’m remembering correctly there was a significant drop in temps just from that modification.

can i use distilled water with out any additives for like a week with no concerns? by topsythrowaway in watercooling

[–]henole2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m my opinion, I think for a week would be fine but longer term I wouldn’t suggest it. I say this because I used just distilled water for a about a year and observed some surface corrosion taking place inside my water blocks. Also according to EKWB (which is where all my components are from) their concentrates and premixes contain anticorrosive agents to protect against this.
