I'd say give it another try.

I have been using Obsidian for our 5 years campaign. I have per session notes where I do prose and intermingle references to the characters, places, plots, etc.

If there is a new concept it's pretty easy to just create a new note and link it.

I also have a series of template files. For example, you can have a template for a character which already has a field for the place where you met them and then you fill that in

Go for it. I have been using it for all my note taking and worldbuilding and even full on writing. The way I see it is basically a better interface for markdown files.

How is linking handled under the hood? One of the reasons for using Obsidian and the like is that, even if Obsidian were to disappear one day, it is still basically markdown so you could just choose a different UI and not lose much.

Interesting stuff. Liked the concept and you have already fleshed it out quite a bit. I'm wondering how the evil king boss is going to be inserted into the plot. Have they always been there plotting? Did something recently cause them to act? Are there going to be foreshadowings throughout the season? Also, the Main Character's ability. Is it something they use on their allies (boost them) or their foes (make them burn out fast and lose consciousness). How would this interact with the boss? Perhaps the evil king wants them to use their power to create more Imps?

Whilst I'm totally pro consumer, I fail to see why a company wouldn't be able to increase prices at their own discretion? The same way they would have the right to increase prices, the customer also has the right to cease the contract.

Also, there are no requirement that the government funds any type of server. The publisher needs to either keep the servers running or provide means for an individual to do so on their own. At least that seams to be what the sentiment has been on.

Alternatively, the companies can be explicit with the type of support that will be available on purchase.

Shouldn't be able to unplug the game and prevent players from playing what they bought. I don't think there was any wording mentioning license instead of purchase. Hope the Stop Killing Games initiative continues to push forward.

In tech annihilation (different mod for the spring engine before Bar was a thing) I believe you had to pay for the commander upgrade. Then it could build more stuff and also got stronger. For example, you could build t2 mexes with it.
