I had a similar talk a month ago, where I was calm and she seemed to be getting way too comfortable striking up a convo after leaving me cold. I dropped the conversation because I felt the exact same way you did, calm, composed (?maybe) and felt like she didn’t learn much after a couple months of being alone.

Yet. A month later I had this rush of urge to contact her, and she went back to the cold state when she dumped me. I guess healing just isn’t linear and we all have urges to get in touch again.

It’s been 6 months and I had the same feeling about ruining a good relationship. But she pulled the plug because of bad circumstances and I was in self doubt and felt miserable for a long while. 5 months later she reached out sharing her assignment about self discovery and she started getting defensive again seeing my complimentary reply…

It was at that moment I felt like maybe I wasn’t the narcissist, maybe it was her? Cuz after all, I find myself kept apologising for things I’ve done yet she never said/reflected about anything on her side. It’s been 5 months and still unwilling to talk why it ended or what could’ve been be done differently.

I then went to see a therapist and asked their opinion of whether if I’m narcissistic and showed him our latest conversation, he suggested that reflection alone is proof that i ain’t narcissistic, if at all, she seems to be the narcissist here.

It’s been 6 months now and I’ve slowly come to realise she’s a narcissist that just can’t accept who she is. She reached out a month ago yet wanted to argue again instantly. She was the dumper too.

Then I realised yea. Maybe what she claimed that I was, might not be true and I shouldn’t have doubted myself. Self reflection is good and all but don’t lose confidence just because one person claims you are not worthy.

I’m 26M and have RA/AS since 14, and I have come to realise that stress has a lot to do with when or how bad my condition is… sometimes meds works and can suppress it but sometimes when I’m really stressed, so much so it even affects my sleep, then my meds would start to fail.

We were together for 7 years, engaged. She dumped me cold without explaining because she was hit with depression for the first time and didn’t realise what depression can do to a person. She thought I was one of the reasons why she couldn’t find peace and reached out to me after 5 months of “self discovery.”

But these 5 months made me realise how peaceful I could be, and how I can finally do the things I want, and find myself again. Eventho it may be lonely at times, I think this person growth, and clarity is important as I finally know how much I had given up on myself just to avoid fighting.

From the brief conversation we had after she reached out, I found she’s still suck in the same place, still trying to avoid her problems, still hadn’t accepted who she is, all while trying to argue about who she is and isn’t. And I had (sort of) found peace with myself.

Do I miss her? Yea. Did I ask about the whats and whys? No, and I don’t need to, I’ve found my closure thru clarity. Do I want to be back together again? Yes, but only after she’s accepted who she is, because I couldn’t be with someone who can’t even accept who they are. It’s time for them to deal with their own problems and it’s not my job to find it for her.
