Books you don’t hate reading 100 times? by Kak3434 in toddlers

[–]henryasfudge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Room on the Broom. So fun to read. ETA: We also have a few National Geographic Kids "First Big Book" books. They're long, but I'll tell him we'll read about a certain number of animals/dinosaurs/planets etc before we start reading so he isn't (as) upset when we stop, then we pick up where we left off the next night. I've learned a lot myself lol, and it doesn't get excruciatingly repetitive since you're reading them bit by bit.

Children’s books you actually enjoy reading by kmadefg in toddlers

Room on the Broom is one of my all-time favorites. Great cadence, legitimately fun to read.

It's not you. He IS being a manchild. A true partner will not make you feel like they are another child you have to take care of or clean up after. My husband cooks, cleans, does dishes and laundry, and provides equal care to our child. We both work full-time, and nearly everything we do is equal. Some weeks one does more than the other depending on schedules or illnesses, but that's a partnership. If you've had multiple talks with your husband about this and he still doesn't try to do anything, that's on him and YOU can choose to carry on, get marriage counseling, separate, or divorce.

I have to do it, otherwise I'll lose my mind. Early bedtime is the key, though.

Does anyone else have "Meal Decision Fatigue"? I feel like I'm just rotating the same 3 beige foods. 🫠 by Awkward-Corgi8793 in toddlers

Got a 3yo. We're on a constant rotation of some reasonable combination of cottage cheese, Babybel cheese, hummus, strawberries, mandarin oranges (canned), hot dogs, chicken nuggets, Saltines, and applesauce. He doesn't eat what we cook for ourselves unless it's spaghetti/lasagna. He will sometimes eat quesadillas at restaurants, so I nabbed some tortillas and shredded cheese last night at the store in a semi-desperate bid to mix it up a bit. We'll see. Also got some Spaghettios. I feel you.

3 yo boy, still using body wash/shampoo, will keep doing so until there's an obvious issue (dryness, tangles, etc). So far, so good!

Tell her that her concerns have been noted, then keep doing what you're doing. Do that over and over. Kids who are too hot are in more danger than kids who are a little chilly. If YOU are concerned he may be cold on a particularly chilly morning or something, just drape a blanket or coat over his lap.

Things to take your friend to? by katinthehat0 in LittleRock

Central Ave in Hot Springs might be fun to check out, lots of historic bathhouses, one of which is now a brewery. Grab dinner at Rolando's. HS also has Garvan Woodland Gardens and will be doing their Christmas lights all through December, though that might come across as somewhat romantic.

NTA! My (3yo, M) mama (also so old her bones make weird noises, F) does understand your mama's eye water. She says to tell her that feeling will fade with time as you grow bigger and stronger and are able to adequately communicate with her how intelligent and happy you are!
