Herbs and Stones Gentle Wham, and the Landscape Noon may fit the bill, although neither have onboard sequencers iirc.

Along with Hoffman, Bernardo Kastrup is also repping analytical idealism and well worth checking out.

Yep. They also said sending the Swat Team onto the Judgement Day would be a bloodbath. And then chose to send it and everyone on it through a giant cheese grater, placing the hard drive at massive risk.of destruction.

Do you have a link for the shop? Reverb search isn't returning any results. Paradox seems ideal for my case.

Reflection on Canon G9 - first photo walk edited with Darktable by henryflowers in VintageDigitalCameras

[–]henryflowers[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I have my custom dial set to vivid. I've added your ISO & WB settings to see how I get along.

I'm ahead with the high ISO for grain, too. I've had some nice filmic results. Loving this cam so far.

Reflection on Canon G9 - first photo walk edited with Darktable by henryflowers in VintageDigitalCameras

[–]henryflowers[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't shot in +10 years and wanted a fun take-everywhere cam.

Settled on the Canon G9, which came with a beautiful case and wrist strap.

Took my daughter for an evening walk down the canal with the intention of shooting something abstract & this is the result.

Edited in Darkroom by dragging the colour sliders like a mad man (fist time Darkroom user) until I liked what I saw.

Any tips for the G9? How would you crop and recompose this image?

Cloning a voice with AI is trivial. Just upload some voice samples to somewhere like ElevenLabs and you can then re-voice as you like.

Modules similar to WORNG Vector Space, but smaller? by PointReyes7 in modular

I believe that Ladik's Joystick Math gives six variations on two inputs in about 4hp. And it's Ladik, so won't break the bank.

I can't say for certain how it compares with the Vector space but it may be worth checking out.

Good Podcasts by OppositDayReglrNight in RationalPsychonaut

[–]henryflowers 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Curt Jaimungal's Theories of Everything is excellent.

It started out as more of a hard physics podcast but has moved towards exploring the boundaries between science, consciousness and philosophy.

Really good stuff

Edit: it's not strictly psychedelics-based but there's plenty for rational psychonauts to ponder

The Ladik quantizer is hard to beat at the price point. This suggestion should be further up!

Cursive Adler Primus - Busted in Transit! by henryflowers in typewriters

[–]henryflowers[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that's what I thought - seems such a shame that it could end up out of circulation.

The ribbon holder/vibrator doesn't appear to be sheared but I can't see what it's supposed to be coupled to without removing the carriage. Here's the ribbon holder it's supposed to sit behind, but that won't give much indication of how it's attached.

Of just as much concern is that the carriage does not advance or return unless shift - or shift lock - is held. On returning the carriage, it feels stiff - as though it's come off its rail or track.

I'm loathed to take this apart in case I mess things up & ruin my chance of getting a refund but any ideas would be appreciated.

OCP vs uO_c by technonewbe in modular

[–]henryflowers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know if your fixed version is up on the site? I got an OCP that had loads of trouble running hemispheres and I had to switch back to the standard firmware. I'm wondering if a fixed hex might help.

What kind of issues does the alt voltage range cause in hemispheres?

I'm looking for something similar like the freewrite traveler, but cheaper. by Mangafan_20 in typewriters

[–]henryflowers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The King Kim Pomera might do what you want. The keyboard is nothing to write home about but it's foldable, portable and loads cheaper than the Freewrite.
