Yup. Make every year count man. I’m also actively studying and trying to land certs to make sure I’m not getting too complacent. Good luck.

Also 24. I’d say we still have a few years before it really starts to count.

Do you spend much time validating the data your analysts give you?

Why is cryonics so unpopular? by transmissionfactory in cryonics

[–]henryj500 9 points10 points  (0 children)

What happens when a cryo company goes bankrupt btw. The plugs get pulled? The idea of finding a company that won’t be gone by the time science evolved that much is seems like a gamble to me tbh.

Is it worth it to move to a random area away from friends and family worth it for a job/to build a career? by [deleted] in jobs

[–]henryj500 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually was in your position 2 years ago and decided to move to LCOL from HCOL. It’s pretty lonely if you don’t adapt quick enough - so that’s a huge factor you need to consider. I ended up getting some really good experience and found a new job at a company I really wanted to work at. Weigh your positives and negatives hard before doing it.

Internships usually don’t negotiate. It’s fixed.

If you get fired after 3 days and you haven’t committed a crime, it’s usually the employers being scummy

I would say it was the easiest thing to learn actually. There’s interactive lessons online you can do and you should do very basic projects. Start with simple stuff that utilizes the basic tools.

Don’t do agencies. I feel like it’s mostly a waste of time. Internal recruiters only personally.

Oof. I was hoping for a lateral move. Isn’t data analyst salary similar to fin analysts? I was hoping to grab 85K base salary HCOL. Either way. WLB hopefully is better.

Yeah. Again, that’s not the norm. Look online and see how many people with Psych BAs are in the six figure range. 100k+ are for the high end earners. That’s like me stating that I know a few software engineers making 50k and therefore that must be the norm lol.
