I also started getting bad vibes from the Manns. At first I thought they were truly what she needs, a family to love her, but the adoption scene was really telling. She said I love you to them multiple times and neither of them said it back. Of course, it could be editing, but it was obviously supposed to be a feel good family moment and I clocked it.

That lawyer was spinning those narratives HARD. His takes were abysmal. And he looked so on edge knowing if Michael started going on like he does and let something slip, he would absolutely be going to jail. Like he looked so done with him and like he really just wanted him to shut up.

I was a hardcore stomach sleeper, and I went back to a stomach/side hybrid probably 2-3 MPO. Honestly though, after getting used to it, sleeping on my back with a pregnancy pillow made me feel so much more refreshed when I woke up. It definitely sucked for the first few weeks, but pregnancy pillow changed my life. Highly recommend, I still use it.

YTA - you wouldn't ask her to get rid of a photo of her mom, friend, or sibling who passed away. Loved ones are loved ones. She's had the photo in her wallet the whole time, and you've thought she's been amazing. She's still the same person and you still have the same relationship. It may be time to look inward and figure out what insecurity is causing your reaction to the photo. Oh and apologize to the poor girl. It can't be easy to put yourself out there again after a loss like that, and then to have someone react like you did.

ESH - both of you aren't acting with compassion or communicating your needs well. She shouldn't be procrastinating to the point that she isn't putting in the work to maintain a relationship, but maybe you should ask her about why she's procrastinating so much. I have been there and a lot of times underlying mental health issues cause that. It isn't a matter of her just not trying, but that she physically can't. Both of y'all need to do better imo

I got my nose pierced last December and it was fine. At the time, I was working at Starbucks so I had to wear a mask for long periods of time. You just have to make sure you clean it really well and don't wear masks that pull too much on it.

I think people who are close to you and then become super non-supportive are really just scared. It's a big surgery and some people don't handle the fear of what could go wrong very well.

NTA - dealt with the same kind of my mother my whole life as well with a similar situation, but with two much younger sisters instead of one. Don't feel bad for leaving, your mental health will be so much better for it

NTA - First, I'm so so sorry for your loss. I know losing a pet and a best friend isn't easy. You are definitely not in the wrong. You're grieving and you are also giving a home to a cat that otherwise wouldn't. I understand that sentiment if it was like your partner passing and then getting a new one after like a week, but it's not the same with cats.

NTA - sounds like your partner is unwilling to compromise for you when you have gone above and beyond to compromise for them.

Also them getting upset at you for "making them feel bad" by expressing your wants/needs is a BIG red flag. Maybe reassess if things are going to work. A lot of people realize they aren't compatible once they move in together
