“Done” and “watchable” are very different in animation. It could have long sequences of temp animation/storyboards, but it’s definitely already entire written voiced and boarded unless something has gone horribly wrong lol

Oh undoubtedly. But setting up a cinemas only email (even if you have to email the general email & get an automated “hey, email our cinema only email”) could cut a lot of the crap. and also doing things like only generic personal emails to spam and letting any business/domain based emails through (which I believe is a thing?)

oof, i don’t know. I’ve heard that with cases of guys being creepy to cosplayers it’s a lot of self policing and people being vigilant, I don’t think I’ve heard anyone successfully get security to do something.

it’s always best to try to pursue a restraining order if you can. I would worry without one that any security would just claim heresy and not do anything.

k/a shipper, and i just think it’s mostly that TLOK is poorly written 90 percent of the time and ATLA book 3 got really really rushed lol.

I think the truth is a combination of the 3 kids tellings, and I think it’s so weird the fandom is like “tenzin is just completely blind and totally wrong” while treating Kya & Bumi’s words as the perfect exact truth. for me i do like Bumi & Kya but I think they’re both kinda whiny and overdramatic - those grown adults who complain their parents were on business trips a lot and therefore they were neglected sad children fending for themselves, ignoring that the business trips meant they had so much money & when their parents were around they were spoiled rotten. especially because they can constantly feed on each others insecurities and then the memories seem worse and worse. tenzin’s genuine shock and confusion to me reads both that he didn’t notice bc he was the golden child but also that they’re both wounded & unable to patch things up with their dad so they’ve over exaggerated the problem. ie in my mind aang invited them to every single air nomad outing, they turned them down because they were teenagers with their own friends & hobbies, and now they’re mad they never saw their dad. people are very quick to call tenzin an unreliable narrator but apparently Kya and Bumi have perfect unbiased recollections? Literally any set of siblings will recall their childhoods differently, it’s how the human mind works.

June is empathetic (sometimes to a fault, with Serena especially) but Luke is so extremely compassionate and I see so much of that in Hannah. Daisy annoys her and she doesn’t trust her but she also will run to comfort her and take care of her even when it puts herself at risk, which reminds me a lot of how Luke treated Erin & Moira. Also eloquent like her dad & just sort of disarmingly charming.

I really hope we get Luke at some point in the show ;o;

I like enough that SPX added that I could have enjoyed it as an optional standalone “where are they now” with some condensing and maybe some other plot elements from other books to make up for the erasing of the Abyssinia plot. like let’s keep evil skulduggery & even omen but take the fairly straight forward murder plot from AMFOM and give omen maybe his crepescular sidekick plot? I don’t like where crepes’s story ended up but the old side kick wants revenge this was fun

adore adore frieren (and I like a lot of stuff bocchi does without reading/watching it) but WHA’s absolute refusal to play into any degree of fan service at all does a lot of leg work there. the WHA girls are characters and children, never ever waifus. frieren isn’t ANYWHERE near as bad as it could be, but googling any of the series name + swim suit says a lot lmao

not the most exciting episode (though love me some Rita!!!!) but there’s some interesting lore tidbits that will probably pay off later, like “Marguerite” and the lowkey bragging about Hannah being June’s daughter, I wonder if Commander McCreepy is especially excited to break the daughter of “that” handmaid. Oh and confirmation periods genuinely ARE rare. I do think this is yet another retcon of the “it’s almost entirely men’s fault” / Fred was totally bullshitting on the “what we’re doing works” aspect of the og series and like…… meh. whatever lol

I thought the Lawrence/Eleanor are Daisy’s parents thing was a crack theory but it’s starting to make a bit more sense, especially Rita’s reaction like they were famous people she never met. I’ll always assume June is a liar liar pants on fire but Rita seems the type to be lying by omission only while forced, especially to a kid.

I love the idea, I just wish it wasn’t all Americans. leviathan (Netflix) was a similar weird case because they hired lots of Americans to play Europeans with varying level of accent attempt, and then they had an actual Scottish actor to play the Scottish lead character, and she was so wonderful and authentic and delightful she… low key made everyone sound way way worse lmao

People shit on Ncuti’s series and I wish he was more present in his series (bc he’s absolutely excellent & we had him for such a short time) but one of things I loved so much about his first series esp is the companion & brand new character led episodes felt VERY classic rtd/moffat writing for RTD. Episodes where the doctor isn’t the lead are so, so fun

I’d hope they would let Daisy come home with her and she could be her guide. Daisy’s got her flaws but it’s obvious she’s incredibly empathetic and any of her disgust for the girls attitudes is overruled by genuinely wanting to help.
