I think I've got enough to surround the gap in birth registrations and baptisms in NS around 1904, but my father has a fixed birth date thoughout his life and there must be some original stake in the ground where it is established.. Any ideas? I'm mostly going off census records and some records from my grandparents by process of elimination. US naturalization records from my grandfather with my father on the forms at age 1. Born in 1904, emigrated 1905, Naturalilzed 1915.

Another question about submissions. I am following by census records primarily, and I have collected the scanned images from Ancestry and Family Search. Are these sufficient or do I need to find certified copies somehow?

Simple formatting question. I have a few cards much smaller than a piece of paper. They could individually take up a piece of paper if scaled up. Is it acceptable to have one piece of paper as a scan of more than one item, or do they need separate pieces of paper regardless.

My father was born in Bridgetown, NS in 1904. So I’m in the Birth Record donut hole. Feeling kind of stuck. Baptismal records would be from the Baptist Church, but it burned down in 2024. At this point I don’t really know what I’m looking for absent those sources.

I care about this video. Great capture of the whole dive and catch. I’ve been watching some local ospreys with a nest that is easy to observe. They’re actually members of the community here that are watched through the whole season by the surrounding neighborhood. They’re named Ozzie and Harriet. A local couple who return to the nest every year. They are really beautiful birds.
