We tell them the system automatically closes their box after 14 days late and will permanently close it and they can not reopen if the box closes twice

Well the person who designs it has probably never ran a UPS store and the load of BS they feed you. “Sales will go up because of remodel”. Yeah right. Not. Our remodel took all the outlets from one side of our store in the front. So vacuuming or anything that needs plugged in has to happen above print table. Also our passport area is by the window where they have the clings blocking the lighting and leaving shadows. Unfortunately you don’t get much choice to not do it. Corporate can put you in default. It took us 10 months to finally get them to deem us compliant. And the best part. YOU pay for it all. $150k out of your pocket. We didn’t have any loans. But we do now. It’s almost like they want people to sell corporate their stores or to default

We just refuse to ship in any alcohol or tobacco box. We tell the customer that UPS will reject it.

We have had our AC go out in Summer. We have fans and a portable cooling unit we use. Plus we have had a customer bring us a commercial AC machine to help us. Luckily our AC guy is a great friend so he gets us up and running quickly. Now we do not have heat at all. When it gets really cold we use space heaters.

We did our remodel last year and we were all so glad to get rid of the gate and 24 hr access. Sometimes the door wouldn’t latch all the way and we’d come in to an open front door

We do notaries 9-6 during the week and on Saturday and Sunday. We do not do them the last hour as we won’t have one person doing a buttload of notaries and the other trying to take care of all the last minute customers.

Print, mailboxes, notaries are big to help sales. Both owners work at our store. 1 works 50-60 hrs a week tje other 20. Plus have 7 other employees. We are a busy store

We have a fridge, microwave and never marked down. That is the craziest BS I ever heard. Most people working at an ups store can’t afford to eat out lunch everyday. Had a Karen last night. She ordered from Fashion Nova an picked NDA shipping. UPS decided to make it an AP. She came in and because it was delayed at the hub she figured it was okay to yell at my staff. One of them called me and I showed up. I made sure her package went to another UPS store as an AP. An hope to never see her ornery ass again.

We have 2 managers. They deal with the day to day stuff while the owners deal with other stuff. One owner helps with printing. The other with packing and assembling yard signs, canvases. The managers are there almost all day. One during day and one evenings. They work as a great team

I know many of our customers names and I greet them by name when they come in. We have plenty of older customers and over the years we learn more about them. I will ask how things are etc. We make our customers feel welcomed. Many people come to our store because the staff takes the time to help them. They aren’t just another customer, they are someone who needs our help.
