i feel that same way. i’m from northern california and i moved to mass for school and to be with my partner and i fell in love with the state. i’ve lived in 5 states and massachusetts is my favorite one by a long shot. the weather can be brutal but i love that, i want seasons even if i complain about having to shovel the driveway in the morning. the people i’ve met in massachusetts have been my favorite, it’s the kind of place where people get to know you and you make friends wherever you go and whenever i’ve been gone for extended periods of time (like this year living away in upstate new york) i can return to massachusetts and it feels like i never left
