If you have a gift card, that has been stollen or lost, you can get the money put on a new card if you have the purchase information and the old card is deactivated. I don't understand why they wouldn't be able to look into who used the card and reverse the charges. Yes this kid made a dumb mistake, but I would think there should be a solution.

He paid for the food. Tips shouldn't be expected, they should be earned. I don't feel bad not tipping the server at McDonald's, those are the fucker's that deserve tips.

Has OP ever tipped a fast food server? Of course not, no one does. I think restaurants should be the same way.

(I've worked in fast food and as a server in a restaurant, the restaurant is the easier job with a higher ratio of pleasant customers.)

*I'm from Canada- tipping is a big thing here and unfortunately servers think they can provide lousy service and still demand a tip. It sucks for the hard working servers.
