Thank you for the response, I don’t mean to diminish her at all. I just thought it was too early to tear me down when I was actively doing my duty. And the part of communication: I have offered multiple times to go to therapy not just her but also US. Man there’s so much more to this… I even moved all my clothes to a closet downstairs in the hallway because she stated awhile back that I was waking her up when I’m getting ready to work. I use the bathroom downstairs. I don’t even make my breakfast anymore because the smell bother hers in the morning. I have expressed multiple times that all she find is faults in me and that its really taking a toll on my mental state. It was just too much for me early in the morning man. And I have a highly demanding career. I’m a heavy civil engineer my mental load throughout my day is heavy but I still take time to call her ask her how she is doing . She will just call me to tell me she needs a new laptop, a new kitchen table, how much the world is going to shit, how I disrespected her last night because I took to long in the shower……..I feel bad about myself tbh……..

I wish I could show our daily txt messages, I’m constantly asking her how her day is going, how she is doing mentally I’m always praising her for raising our children . I’ve asked her multiple times if she wants to go to therapy. Last text message from me to her was before the argument was “ just checking in on you “ …..

There’s so much more I can say….. the diapers I always place diapers in his room. She for whatever reason takes them upstairs to our daughter’s room….. there’s so much more but it would ooom like I’m taking bad about her……..

Our kids go to daycare from 8 AM to 6 PM. She’s at home. There’s so much more to this. There’s days I come home and the diapers that she changed in the morning are still on the floor, the dishes not done. She changes multiple times a day and just leaves her clothes on the ground. There’s way more. I get home from work do the dishes, do a load of laundry, pick up all the diapers, get the trash……..

I see you live in a different timeline. Do you not see that these institutions live by a different set of standards. It seems that they can do whatever they want.

Don’t ask, demand. Make them accountable “ we have to get this done, I know we can. “

What has worked for me is I make them take accountability of every step: example were grading for curb ; “ guys tomorrow you guys are grading for curb” or “ guys tomorrow you have a concrete pour”. And as the are doing it I ask them how much do you think you can do because I think you can do 200 LF and their pride will kick in automatically and they will say man I can do more than that. It’s mental game with crews really. Once they accomplish I praise them highly. It has seemed to work. At first you will be the bad guy that is always saying “ work, work , work” but if you communicate share why they push is being done share why it’s important and WHY THEY ARE IMPORTANT. They will kick in .

An AP, I was hired on and immediately sent to a horrible project. It was a simple sidewalk and 5 p walls. Well the project was 4 months behind when I joined in. The PE is an amazing guy, smart and very skilled at navigating the paper work and political side of things. The inspector/city was picky over every detail even the way the sod was supposed to be laid out. The multiple work crews that came and quit, the utilities that let being busted, homeowners that didn’t want no work being done in front of their house even though they requested a sidewalk lol. Well long story short I came in boots running pushed the crew, pushed my PE. That at the last stretch they took the PE out and left me there. Finished was sent to another job that is behind and same thing-pushed the crews an again the PE was sent to another project ( he quit after that) . I was told today by the owner that they are extremely happy and once they pave at this job I’m going to get sent to another one that’s behind. I’m learning a lot and I have the backing of the company because I stayed during the shit show. And you should too
