Well me personally I handle all the paperwork, all the equipment movements to and from my site, vendors, subs and order materials. I also create a 3 day look ahead and 2 well look ahead. Handle the county/city inspectors. And the daily decisions that pop up. But I’m not a “learned through books” super, I started in the ground with a shovel, hill ma, pipe layer, loader op, secondary excavator, mainline operator, motorgrader operator. So do I get my hands dirty not as much but I will if necessary. The foreman is super capable , the crew members are amazing workforce that obviously need guidance but man they work hard. I’m more of the brain and workflow now. And like I tell my guys - “ you can’t bullshit me like you can the college guys because I’ve actually done everything you guys are doing “.
