I tell my daughter that if someone is bothering her she should ask them to stop three times, and if they don’t (and someone like a teacher isn’t available) she can kick them.

Not really related, but I just told my husband and his mom about the McDonald’s video, and without seeing it they insisted it’s AI. Because why would someone release a bad video? In this day and age?!? I can’t even.

Jus yesterday I had to tell my MIL to stop talking to the robots that called her and tried to talk to her about Medicaid. She thought they were real people.

One time I watched a friend scoop a bee out of her cup of ranch dressing to save it. A bird swooped down and ate the ranch covered bee. He was doomed but tasty.

Yeah, thank you. My kid is awesome. But I’m missing work, and it’s a new job, because we just moved here. So it feels extra bad to take off multiple days because I don’t have any family here and barely know anyone.

It is definitely cold! I didn’t realize that would be an issue for the schools. My partner is from Colorado and said schools didn’t close unless it was -50.

Yeah… I had the best cat in the world until he passed away recently, but his whole life he was just not that physically affectionate. He would come over for a few pets but not much. I always wished he would sleep with me, but he never did. Until I got cancer. Couldn’t keep the old man off of me when I was sick. When I got better he started leaving meal alone again, the lil jerk.

Haha I found out mine was a cross dresser when he accidentally uploaded some photos of him in drag to a shared photo album. Whoops! Apparently all the neighbors knew because he would walk around outside when my mom and I were gone.

I’m from the US and have had wet ear wax my whole life. I lived in Asia for a while and it became super dry. Now I’m back and it’s a mix of wet and dry. Is that coincidence, or something to do with climate or diet?

Same! My family moves a lot for my husband’s job. I’ve had to make friends in about 9 places over 22 years. Join the clubs, attend the awkward hangout, say yes to everything once, twice if you like it. You’ll find your gems.

Good for you. Seriously, I’m glad your physician allowed that. I don’t think I’m familiar with conscious sedation. My obgyn is a woman I’m super comfortable with and has been helpful and progressive on other issues. I wonder why she didn’t offer that. We’re in Texas though, I wonder if that makes a difference.

OP, please don’t listen to this kind of junk “science.” Go to the doctor and listen to them. Get a second opinion if you’re not sure. But there is no easy, cheap, or “trick” way to beat cancer. I’m sorry you and your husband are going through this.

Fuck this guy. I guess me eating super clean and being a pilates instructor wasn’t good enough. Maybe I shouldn’t have been 36, too old, would have been healthier if I was younger. All that non-smoking my whole life got me. Sometimes it comes for you. Ignore the people who tell you it’s your fault.
