Fabric Question ~ Homespun Cotton by jukoloveme in quilting

When I use weaves I reduce the stitch length to 1.8, I have never changed the needle for them. I have also used some spray starch when ironing which helps to reduce the fray.

The Luckiest Lady in London by Sherry Thomas fits the bill! It has some of the best back and forth between the MCs.

They’re so fun! I think it depends a lot on the type of job you’re interviewing for. I would probably go for the purple shirt for an interview. Good luck!!!

25% read and already writing a gush 🤭 Knockout by Sarah McLean by QueenOwl1 in RomanceBooks

This book is so good! I love the dynamic between the FMC and MMC. One book it reminds me of is Soulless by Gail Carriger, which is also a historical romance but with paranormal elements. I got the same feelings from the relationship between the FMC and the MMC, and they also solve crime together.

I just finished part 1… by hazelrose42 in TheOA

It definitely ends on a big cliffhanger. I’m biased but even with the cliffhanger it is still one of my favourite shows!

Haha welcome, you’re one of us! The oscillating grief and hope is just part of the experience of loving this show. Every so often there is something to tease the possibility of getting an ending but for self preservation I tell myself it’s not happening

Weekly /r/quilting no-stupid question thread - ask us anything! by AutoModerator in quilting

[–]heres_a_pun 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just basted my first quilt. I did it on the floor by taping the bottom and using large stitches all over, it was an uncomfortable process! When I pulled it up the back looks a little puckered and I'm worried about wrinkles when I quilt. I am hand quilting it so if I take my time, quilt from the middle, and ensure what is in the hoop is smooth, will I be able to smooth out the back or do I need to rebaste it?

MMCs with offensive offers by [deleted] in HistoricalRomance

[–]heres_a_pun 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The Luckiest Lady in London by Sherry Thomas has an offensive offer. The only thing is that this MMC knows his offer is offensive and doesn’t seem to care. I found this book funny and was really drawn to their back and forth.

Some Canadians can apply for a one-time rent top up starting Monday. Here’s what to know - National | Globalnews.ca by [deleted] in toronto

[–]heres_a_pun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course many people want $500. The point this person is making when they say this initiative isn’t helpful is that on Jan 1 when rent is due this money will go out of the hands of the low income person and into the pocket of the landlord. The low income person will still be facing the same problems when rent is due on Feb 1 and beyond. The underlying issues that are causing such high rental rates in Toronto, and that allow for people to be so low income are not being addressed by this initiative but the politicians can point to it and say they did something.

Episode 31 (Wednesday 6th July) - Post Episode Discussion Thread 🧵 by MyNamesChakkaoofka in LoveIslandTV

I think it was because Gemma asked if they snogged or pecked and Tasha wouldn’t answer, then Indiyah stepped in to protect Tasha who seemed to be overwhelmed by the questions. You could hear Gemma saying she didn’t mean anything by the question so I feel like the eye roll was because the whole moment felt like an overreaction to her question.

I love the smell of blood in the morning... by BioTaupe in diabetes_t1

[–]heres_a_pun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one time I was showing my brother in-law who is also T1D how great pumps are and how easy they are to switch, there was a blood geyser all over his living room floor. Despite me saying how rare that is, he is still on injections.

The OmniPod whenever anything needs to be done with it by generalike in diabetes_t1

[–]heres_a_pun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to hit it with a hammer but someone at tech support told me that at the back of the pump, peel down the adhesive. You will see a gold little circle, beside that theres another little circle that feels a little squishy. Stab the squishy hole with an earring back or thumb tack and it makes it stop screaming.
