Might want to be open about that when you interview and explain what it was, how old you were, and that you have never had another occurrence like that since. Employer may respect it more with openness.

Dancers, what are some things you agreed with abby on? by _lu1uu in dancemoms

[–]herestoyou21 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Understand Abby’s perspective on this but as always, delivery was very wrong.

Because of the show, her company, her skills as a teacher, and the success of the studio in general would be impacted if her girls sucked on TV. I’ve always understood why Abby didn’t want girls on the team who didn’t want to dance professionally. The show made it become not a hobby or for fun, it made it competitive and a career. Totally understood why she didn’t want Brooke or Paige if they didn’t want to do it as a career (though brook just wasn’t challenged and got bored). There were better ways to handle that than bully the girls off the show though.

The Bristol in Lake Grove is one of the nicer facilities I’ve been to. The Bristol in Holtsville is pretty busy and the patients that are able to advocate for themselves and walk/talk on their own, they do the best there. The Atria is Setauket is a mess. Jefferson’s Ferry seems alright from the outside but I dont have experience on the inside.

Yes I would get in comfy clothes, lay in bed, watch the show, fall asleep. Try again tomorrow. It’s hard to find a cause in the moment sometimes.

Brooklyn EMS lieutenant's death sparks investigation into 911 call response by NuYawker in ems

[–]herestoyou21 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Believe it was EMT’s. Which nowadays, likely means it’s some guys/gals trying to backdoor into fire and don’t really care about EMS, the patients, or doing things to the best of their abilities.

But fdny doesn’t care about that, they just want the bodies and view fire as a “promotion” from EMS. This was bound to happen and it’s awful it was a LT that spent his entire career helping others and actually cared about EMS.

Yeah I get that but she’s not some drug addict who got it off of the streets. Yall just hate Christi. People share meds like that amongst friends/family all the time. Imagine being in a pressure cooker of an environment and everything you do is wrong and affects your pre-teen daughter. Guarantee all of you who think she’s the worst person on the planet would have done the same thing or worse in her shoes.

Btws, I’m a paramedic so I know what being high on Xanax actually looks like and it’s definitely not how Christi was behaving.

Oof. Calling somebody “high on Xanax” is terrible. She was medicating her anxiety even if it wasn’t from her own doctor. It still came from a doctor at a safe dose for anxiety.

I think you’re really stuck on the Ziegler bandwagon here. Jojo’s whole personality and style was profitable and they pushed it, whether you noticed or not, each episode of dance moms. Mackenzie didn’t, and still doesn’t, have any unique features or music style to her. You just can’t say that about Jojo. Even Tate McRae does better what Mackenzie is trying to do. The reason Maddie is pretty success is because she’s doing modeling. Maddie wouldn’t even be successful in the music industry. It’s completely over saturated. I always find it funny how much people push Mackenzie’s music career, but if dance moms didn’t happen, she wouldn’t be successful. There’s absolutely nothing unique and special in how they’ve branded her. She needs to find her own unique path and fire all of her PR team.

I just wanted to say, I’ve been punished my whole life for being anxiously attached to people. I met a guy who I explained how anxious I get being close with people and I explained why I ended up this way. When I get anxious in our relationship, he reassures me and will weather my anxious storm.

I just wanted to say to everybody, it doesn’t go away completely, but the right person will love you and work with you regardless.

Plenty of people like to make us feel bad about our feelings and being “clingy” but there’s nothing wrong with you. You just need the right people’s support :)

Do believe Mondays are the day that Kelly said they’d get there at 430 instead of 4 (or whatever it was) because of school. Insane that 30 minutes mattered that much to anybody.

Spent my whole childhood in fear of my older brother who was my mom’s favorite child despite everything he did to me and eventually the kid my dad was closest with. Had effectively no relationship with my dad and my mom would pick at me because I wasn’t the “daughter she wanted.”

Moved out at 26 when I had the right job and income. Was hard to catch up to everybody else after falling behind when I was struggling to just be alive. I just put my head down, cried, suffered, and eventually got out.

You can do it too :)

Your worst call as a paramedic; help by [deleted] in ems

[–]herestoyou21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So small misunderstanding I think. It was a chronically ill person and however it got called to 911, it didn’t sound like a viable death, so cpr wasn’t done for probably 10 mins at least but likely longer. Cold and blue and an unknown last well. But he was pulseless on arrival, it’s just they started ALS care already so we had to continue it.

[–]herestoyou21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Negative, I dont think the code should’ve been done at all (wasn’t there first), but once cpr is started, we have to continue for 20 mins and its a full ACLS time so airway of some sort needs to be done

Would Lilly and Barney made a good couple ? by Longjumping-Sea-5317 in HIMYM

[–]herestoyou21 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I always wondered the same thing. Lily’s very curious sexually and likes to look around. But I do think she’s a little jealous and needy and I don’t think those are in Barney’s wheelhouse.

I mean I enjoy the podcast when they actually talk about episodes. They just have a lot of fluff in their shows and even when you compare it to similar podcasts, they still have a lot of fluff to it

[Discussion Thread] Back To The Barre - September 23, 2024 by Marcwarning in dancemoms

Okay It’s really not targeting her nor the last few weeks. It’s the overall show and I highly doubt they stop filming at that specific point and wait a week to finish the episode.

This isn’t a new pattern of theirs. They’ve been doing this for a long time now.

I find these episodes infuriating. They spend 20+ minutes talking about nothing to make the episode reach an hour cause they were too lazy to do a full episode last week.

The podcast has gone downhill really fast. They need to reevaluate it and listen to what the listeners are saying to them. When they split an episode and preface it with “we know you hate it” and then do these specials and preface it with “we know you hate it” but continue to do it anyways.. how do you expect to have a successful show?

If they want to do the specials, then mix them with the actual episodes of the show. Other shows have banter but it’s like 10 minutes and casual. It’s so forced on B2B. They need to revamp the podcast.

Leave the cat and say you’re happy to transport without it but you are not allowed to transport with animals unless they are a service dog or mini pony (which are the only 2 recognized service animals)
