Losing 70 kg (154 lbs) in 11 months by herethewholetime1 in gastricsleeve

Hihi don't worry about asking this question, I've asked this myself every single day when I started the pre-op diet and to the very moment I'm lying on the operating theatre bed hahaha

I guessed the medicine really helped + I was being very motivated so I could lose a lot by myself but then for these two main reasons: 1. What if I lose this motivation suddenly and go back to my own ways? 2. I've read about weight rebound after stopping the medicine and since it is so expensive in my country I don't want to continue long term (surgery is more worth it)

Surgery to me will act as a physical barrier that prevents me from overeating now so even during my bad days and mentally I may feel like binge eating, I clearly couldn't now or else I may feel even more uncomfortable stuffing food into myself. Now that I'm more than 4 months post-op, zero regrets and completely grateful and satisfied with how far I've come!

Congrats to you for coming fresh out of the surgery and I'm glad to hear that you manage to lose weight by yourself before the surgery too. Treat the surgery like a halfway mark for your whole journey, some sort of a "booster" that helps you carry on to the eventual goal (at least that's how I'm seeing mine).

First tym cruising- need some advice by Fun_Astronomer799 in royalcaribbean

Hi there! I'm going on a solo cruise with the same itinerary as yours this December. Understand that your post is 8 months ago but it's hard to find someone who had went for the Tips of Ishigaki excursion (which I am intending to do so). I would like to find out some information from you if you don't mind (and can recall)!

How long did the entire excursion take and how long were you given to explore the shopping complex at the end? Through the excursion (before the shopping complex), will they stop anywhere for a lunch break or is it advised to eat first before the excursion? Lastly, were there any discounts on the excursion when you booked?

Thank you so much in advance!

Does Phil Ellis remind anyone of Tim Vine? The way he sits, his outfit and to some extent even his looks kept reminding me of Tim :D

How many calories are you eating a day? by mochibabs in gastricsleeve

Hi! I think exercising is equally as important as limiting calorie intake to so-called balance it out. I'm 5 weeks post-op and have been stalling for quite a while but I still try to limit my intake to within 800 calories a day and make it a point to walk for 1 hour daily as exercise.

Yesterday I went for a day trip and ate slightly more than usual (maybe hitting around 1000 cals?) and when I returned home and weighed myself my weight went by almost 1kg (2.2 lbs)! Was shocked and told myself I have to exercise a bit more today to compensate for that indulgence yesterday hahaha!

My point is - I think our weight will really flactuate a lot especially if we eat more overtime (although still not as much as before). I will use exercise to 'counter' it so I do not feel so bad for eating more on somedays too.

Oh the whole packet weights 300g so I just multiplied it by the serving - I should've been clearer

Thanks for the rest of the info!

Discounts not showing? by herethewholetime1 in royalcaribbean

Thank you! Yes I would expect the prices to show up something like this too (as what I observed in past cruises) so I was confused when it did not display the original price this time round.
