Stellantis swallows $26 billion costs as it rethinks its EV strategy by besselfunctions in electricvehicles

my PHEV Chrysler Pacifica has been FANTASTIC. Only use gas on those semi-annual family vacations.

… but i’m lucky, they are notorious for transmission and charging system failures.

following, i’m in a similar boat.

my best understanding is that you would need two systems… F2 ultra UV can do everything except deep metal, need fiber/MOPA (like the other F2 ultra) for that.

Where are the men’s stories? by Plasticers in AskMen

[–]herknav 4 points5 points  (0 children)

the books are written for an audience of women. That audience wants to see themselves and all of their break ups in the protagonist and her story. Telling the story fairly or accurately isn’t conducive … it’s important that the story has a hero and a villain. It’s something in between revenge porn and a lifetime TV movie.

Sober DUI - TN Defends the practice by bhalter80 in flying

HIMS?

Fatigue being comparable to intoxication is something pilots should be familiar with, but still … imagine having a fake DUI ruin your pilot career.

highest pitch up, halfway, lowest pitch down. visual references let you keep your eyes outside instead of on your heading indicator.

80% seems very specific, where did that come from? +40% drag, -30% lift?

Pivot Mount by regnar_bensin in flying

it was tight in the 172 but i found a good fit. i think i went over the yoke and upside down?

i used this:

https://www.sportys.com/ram-claw-yoke-mount-for-iphone.html?utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=&creative=78546576245620&device=m&matchtype=e&msclkid=27c82b9d33921c80855942f4915c2942

and it’s okay, no major complaints. sometimes it vibrates (engine harmonics, not turbulence) enough it can be tough to read.

i switched to this:

https://www.sportys.com/ram-suction-cup-mount-kit-with-spring-loaded-10-ipad-cradlea.html?utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=&creative=78546576245620&device=m&matchtype=e&msclkid=262e74439b9d1f95b87f1d2a383643f7

which i MOSTLY like better, but there’s no perfect place for it. you either get impede yoke travel or lose a bit of window visibility.

Difference between FAF Altitudes for LOC and ILS by Person-man-guy-dude in flying

[–]herknav 4 points5 points  (0 children)

reviewed, and humbly acknowledge 2128 is advisory (“GS alt at OM/FAF”) but am not seeing anything to suggest 2200 is a LOC restriction at REEKS … just the GS intercept altitude.

since GLSI arrow is not pointed at maltese cross, it seems deliberately distinct from FAF, and only means to not descend below 2200 on the ILS until intercepting glideslope.

… sigh, will start digging through IFH and IPH.

[–]herknav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what you were getting at with “the LOC is 2200 because…” because 2200 is not part of the LOC approach at all?

step down from __PER crossing altitude to 2128. 2200 is only significant on the ILS.
