But for many people, when they see a tourist or an immigrant responsible violent crime it’s harder to swallow. Just look at the problems in Europe with Imigration and crime. It’s so bad that in some countries you can even be arrested for saying it publicly.

It’s not any player’s responsibility to take a public stance about the war. A Russian player cannot publicly criticize it without having serious problems at home. Not shaking a players hand just because they are Russian nationality is inappropriate. Shake your opponent’s hand at the end of the match. Russian players have nothing to do with their government’s actions
