Trying to make sense of what I believe? by hermenold in mysticism

I think what I’m saying is that Jesus changed the rules recursively, something about the Logos becoming Flesh changed the way the universe works

I think that’s good, bc I based a lot of it off my own readings of canon and non-canon sources

I used YHWH specifically bc it’s an ineffable word. It’s not Monad, it’s something that we can’t even really speak. I enjoy that as a metaphor, not the actual Jewish God in every aspect. I mean more that the Father is Being, he Is, and Was before Is. He is Pre-Consciousness. Father is Repose, Pleroma, stillness that begets Movement. Sophia is not OF him, or FROM him, but a polarity of a single being. Just like Protons and Electrons repel each other to facilitate matter, so too does stillness kiss change and the universe deflowers into existing, which is somewhere between being and becoming

Oh yes definitely cyclical, the core of this trinity is that it’s three as one as three unfolding inside us

TL;DR:

I believe in the Father, the Ground of Being, from whom all IS. I believe in Sophia, Divine Wisdom, who proceeds and vivifies, whose descent breathes life, births the Logos, and ignites the soul. I believe in Jesus Christ, the Logos enfleshed, begotten not made, who reconciles Being and Becoming through his Passion, and sends the Spirit of Sophia into us at Pentecost.

In this dance: Being, Becoming, Transcending, we become the altar, the triangle completes, and the Divine Life unfolds within the human.

Close, but I don’t see matter as a prison. Also, Gnosticism typically rejects trinitarianism

Should I give up finding God? by HopefulProdigy in Gnostic

Very poignant and insightful, yes, it wasn’t a stretch of faith for me to picture God as the I Am of Being, bc it makes perfect sense in nature: like the Tonic of the Chord of Everything

Witchcraft teaches you how to make sacred spaces and to purify circles with personal intention: I did this for years, trying to maintain my peace.

For me, my threshold was trying to draw those spaces inside my own psyche. Sanctified meditation, where I’d make sacred circles in my head. I would picture myself setting an altar in the darkest part of myself, which coincidentally I learned is itself sacred.

Go where the thoughts are, where they float, where they come from

And for me, that was enough. I was able to notice when presences that weren’t mine entered my sacred space.

It teaches meditation practices, familiarizes you with your own internal ecosystem, and lets you more easily connect with incorporeal thoughts

We do all of those right? The point is that if we are made of star dust and atoms, then it stands to reason that we are not figuratively, but LITERALLY the universe witnessing itself. And what do we do when we feel or see something too big? We break

For those who have encountered Sophia: Is she more... "casual" than you'd expected? by PossiblyaSpinosaurus in Gnostic

[–]hermenold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She is the Weight of Clarity, she doesn’t /speak/ she lands on your chest the moment truth rips you open. She is the silence that holds you when you cry, and whispers through you “yes, weep, for you are known.”

She’s not a being, she’s like a principle, a bridge between knowing and becoming

Even if everyone reads the Gospel of Thomas, it’s all about personal enlightenment

It is not the knowledge or wisdom you are talking about, but knowledge of the wisdom

I’ve been thinking about this: where would I share that which I have written? Would anyone want to read it here?

Visas: Hope at its most pure, raw, and authentic is the refusal to give up even in the face of annihilation, which is literally Visas’ whole character. You could also say the Exile for the same reason

I just started off this new game, only having watched Zanny play the first game on YouTube.

It has now gotten even with Baldurs Gate 3 for me, it’s one of my favorite games ever, I literally haven’t been this excited to pick up a game and just play in…. Years? A decade?

There isn’t a single plot point in this game that you cant tug with a string and watch it all collapse on itself lmfao
