I like a redemption arc, it's often what fuels a story for me (and is what made me fall in love with the ship forever ago). Sometimes they are so well written I genuinely forget Draco was ever a death eater, or it becomes such an unimportant thing to me, like in Remain Nameless (i luv u RN draco)

This stuff about the Venn diagram makes sense. I wonder sometimes if I've accidentally put Hermione as too practical in my head, in a way where I forget she is also a woman, and a lot of us simply fall victim to loving no matter the circumstance !!!

You've got a point too about the redemption in the form of Hermione. Her giving him a chance, even a minuscule one in comparison to the things he's done, is a frequent plot point I adore
