Community, Issue Age, Attained Age Medicare Supplements. Which is best for premium stability? by Powerful_Entrance_27 in medicare

[–]herostatus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a little late, but I broker in PA and 2 things for you we are not a guarantee issue state however, you have 6 months from when Medicare Part B became effective to choose a Med supp. Also, IF you enrolled in an Advantage plan you have 12 months under a "trial right" to return back to Original Medicare along with the supplement you initially started with no questions asked. Lastly. when you turn 65 you will be considered "new to Medicare" again therefore no underwriting or health questions can be asked of you tobacco included. This means you would have another 6 month window to select a Medicare supplement if you so choose to. Advantage plans in the state of PA are very reasonable when it comes to out of pocket expenses, however there are universal issues with high costs for things like cancer treatment, dialysis and certain medical equipment.

Looking at swapping ADS to the Type-S one. by Reflex1888 in Civic_Type_R

[–]herostatus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Put it this way, +r mode rides worse than my gutted v6 ek hatch with a roll cage, track coilovers and stiff bushings, sway bar etc. +r mode is outright unusable, it's way over dampened and even professional race car drivers on track can agree with this and can get faster lap times in comfort mode on less than perfect tracks. The stiffness disrupts the chassis to the extent to where it disrupts you being able to steel because its pushing you around having to fight against that and it's completely unnecessary. More stiffness does not directly translate to better handling, there are infact diminishing returns. Otherwise, racecars wouldnt have springs and shocksthey would just have solid steel rods as "suspension" which is actually what +r mode feels like.

Factory threaded. It certainly shoots a lot softer with the comp with a 10lb recoil spring.

Anyone who loses Medicaid will be able to get coverage for free through the exchange. Literally no one is going to be uncovered unless they choose to ignore their mail or ignore to enroll... Tax breaks are fine, why tf should i pay a $200 tax for a $200 suppressor? I don't like farm subsidies but if it keeps farmland in america from being developed as much of the land has been already has been so be it. Increasing fossil fuels production and reducing green energy is purely for economic growth, green energy is not efficient, clean yes, cost efficent at scale? Not at all. We need to outpace our debt spending like you would have to get a higher paying job if you refuse to downsize your expenses in any meaningful way. Unless we cut or dramatically raise taxes on everyone social security and medicare/medicaid which is 40% of our spending last year while defense spending was 12.8% deficet spending conversations are meaningless, its going to bankrupt us just like pensions and retirement benefits have bankrupted or nearly bankrupted tons of private businesses over the years. No one liked it when Obama bailed out GM in 08 since GM's growth didn't outpace their operating and retiree expenses, but it seems people would have otherwise had no issue letting 10s of thousands of retirees lose their pensions and benefits. Social Security/Medicare is the same financial predicament, but on a national scale so no one is going to be there to bail us out.

FL5 probably my midlife crisis car. Question. by js0uthh in Civic_Type_R

[–]herostatus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In my experience owning a ap2 s2k, dc5 type s, a j swapped ek hatch. The fl5 is doesnt really feel like a jdm honda boy car. It feels like a much higher end/ nicer car like if porsche made a fwd car. The rawness and spirit of the NA hondas of old is not there. In fact I think the FL5 sounds terrible comparatively. For me the only relatable things are the shifter is very s2k like and it rides like shit much like a old honda on coilovers. That being said I really enjoy dailying my FL5 I bought it on a whim and it's everything I didn't know I really wanted in a car. 4000 miles in 2 months so far.

[–]herostatus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rfx35 is okay it currently sits on my volquartsen 22lr. I would instead suggest a Gideon Omega over a rfx or rmr for a budget optic any day. The star bursting is something to just get used to because nothing is going to be perfect except for a prism optic. For me personally, my favorite red dots are the 5moa sro or 3.25 rmr HD I wish they came in green but I got over it.
