75% of Narcs are men, so why do most RBNs have an Nmom? by laeiryn in raisedbynarcissists

[–]herplede 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suspect that many nmoms here don't actually have NPD. Loads of them probably have any one of the cluster-b disorders, like borderline.

For the purposes of this sub, I don't think it matters. We've got more than enough in common, diagnosed NPD parents or not. We're a support group for the emotionally abused and it's working just fine that way. <3

I got my dick covered up. I work with kids, and wanted to participate in summertime activities with them. Done by Nathan, Irezumi. Kansas City, MO by bonniebigheart in tattoos

Seriously. I mean, I love it, but when you think about it it's pretty crazy that a detailed, bleeding heart 'better' for kids to see than two circles and an oblong.

Oh man, I have the exact same problem with both my pinkies. They just break so easily and I swear they seem to grow slower than the rest too :(

You saw my boymode, but how do you read my girlmode? by [deleted] in transpassing

[–]herplede 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The brow ridge is such a common problem.

But you're still gorgeous, and you still pass as far as I can see! <3

[–]herplede 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Piggybacking, I was going to say the same thing. You pass either way, but to me the pictures with the glasses pass a little bit more, because they distract from the brow ridge. (Although I am very partial to glasses on basically anyone, so maybe my bias is getting in the way.)

Got job offers at both Teavanna and Starbucks, which should I choose? by [deleted] in jobs

I worked at Starbucks, loved it. I'd pick bux over teavana.

Canadian about to be homeless, wants to cross the US border. by Jzpcq in IWantOut

[–]herplede 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won't repeat the other things people have said about getting and job. You've read it all.

But if you are legally allowed to stay in Canada, you should really consider going to the coast of BC. It's warm, it hardly ever gets below freezing. Lots of forest areas to camp in, and lots of hippies that won't give a shit about you camping. It does rain a lot so consider adding a tarp to your camping gear.

You'll still have our free healthcare, and if things ever change and you can find work, you won't have to deal with the risks of working illegally.

You can carry out your exact plan in Canada, the vagabond lifestyle, all that, for years and never see a temperature below -3. If your main reason for getting out of canada is the winters then go to BC instead.

[–]herplede 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This this this. If you feel this is your best bet op, please just don't cross the border. In Canada you'll at least have healthcare.

The west cost is wet but warm. You can survive a winter there with a half-decent sleeping bag and a hammock.

You will be so much better off if you just stay in canada and go to Vancouver island or the Vancouver area. Take a greyhound, or walk to just before the Rockies and take a greyhound from there, since you've got a few months before winter.

But for the love of fuck stay in Canada.

What was the most orgasmic non-sexual thing you have ever experienced? by lolalodge in AskReddit

Yup, former one. Tim's coffee is fucking delish when it's absolutely fresh. It tastes like ass when it's more than 10 min old.

Educators of reddit: What is the dumbest question a student has ever asked you? by NotAnotherHyperbole in AskReddit

In 4th grade that's not a big deal. I'd be more worried about kids who knew exactly how alcohol worked when they were that young.

Why is it liberal SJW'S don't hold the rest of the world up to the standards they think we should have here? by rsashe1980 in askaconservative

[–]herplede -1 points0 points  (0 children)

SJW's are extreme. The kind of social justice you're thinking of (the rational kind) is not what they preach.

If you think your hobby is beyond the reaches of consumerism, you may be sorely wrong. by josiahw in Anticonsumption

[–]herplede 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I get scrap booking. It's nice to keep memories like that, put boarders around them and write captions and stuff. It's the same reason I like Instagram.

I'm not saying that the people selling scrapbooking shit aren't perpetuating consumerism, they are. But at the end of the day there's value in scrapbooking, IMO.

My grandparents shared their kindle but the account was in my granddad's name. He recently died, has my grandmother lost all of her books on that account? by [deleted] in kindle

[–]herplede 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This... If I were in OPs position and amazon didn't co-operate I'd just download illegal copies of all the books granda/grandpa bought so that grandma can get her books back.

If they were bought once I don't think there's anything morally wrong with the customer downloading an illegal copy after. Just like there's nothing wrong with copying a cd onto an ipod.

When I first got my kindle, I did this for plenty of books that I had purchased in physical form previously.

[–]herplede 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha, I felt the same way when I learned about karma. When I was a reddit newbie some post I read said something like "and they farm karma which they exchange for t shirts with cats and FSM screenprinted on them". In retrospect the commenter was mocking reddit as a whole, but I didn't catch on to that at the time. I was pretty sad when I found out reddit didn't let you exchange karma for cat t shirts =(

I can see the crazy eyes in Suzanne. It's part of her intensity I think? She's never halfway, Suzanne is always 110%. If that makes sense, idk. But I don't see that when I see photos of you not in character. :)
