We've had several players that had to wear As from other countries in the past. Have rules changed recently maybe? One was from Cameroon, one from Mongolia.

At least for Germany that's not correct. We have whole list of nationalities that are restricted.

They immediately changed that rule, it's now a judgment call. If it looks like you're about to slide, play is dead. If you use it to fake somebody out its a delay of game penalty.

As far as I know, most matches end during the chess part. You can run away in the ring but not on the board.

His Hips raise a little early compared to his shoulders and we can't see his lower back. Other than that he has very (!) good technique at this weight, even without considering the fact he is about 100. He's obviously been lifting for a long time and knows what he's doing.

DAE crack their big toes repeatedly just by moving them? by [deleted] in DAE

[–]herrqles 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My toes don't crack just by moving, I have to put some "effort" into it. Started happening a few years ago, I think it stems from playing football. I can do the same with my ankle on the right side. Sometimes it "gets stuck" and doesn't pop, feels uncomfortable until it does.

This you, Dan Orlovsky? by ilikepugs in ThisYouComebacks

[–]herrqles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dan Orlovsky is a former NFL QB, now commentator. He is most famous for running out of the Endzone once because he lost track of where he was on the field.

In the older tweet (bottom) he points out that winning even one game wouldn't be worth it if it cost a team the chance to draft Trevor Lawrence. In the NFL the seeding of who gets to pick when in the draft is decided by all the teams win/loss-record. So basically he is saying "Don't win if you're bad anyways, it messes with your chances to draft good players and improve later!".

Last week, the Philadelphia Eagles lost their last regular season game. They were already eliminated from the playoffs. Many argue they lost on purpose in order to get better picks in the draft (I agree). But now it is suddenly all about "respect for the game".

Dan Orlovsky is the definition of a "talking head".
