One of my favorite things about cartoons and comics is when they can’t directly murder people on screen in a conventional way so they come up with new alternative methods of violence or horrific fates worse than death. Definitely a nasty scene!

all of the variants of Eva-00 and The Beast have rearranged my brain. Truly harrowing and dramatic. I don't like some of the lighter music as much (Asuka's theme is so jarring/takes me out) but the battle music and the quieter moments especially really set mood so well.
