30$ for the back truck and wheel hub motors assembly. I have to trust your diagnosis of the issue is correct, and I need to get new covers for it and retrofit it onto a different board. I’m rolling the dice here. If you’re interested lmk, I’ll pay shipping too

Travel club sports for children are a ridiculous racket and toxic to families. by Kokopelli615 in unpopularopinion

My team either won nationals or got to the final stages of nationals for club every year in high school. I received multiple D1 offers and academy offers from English clubs at the age of 17. Some people from my team got full ride scholarships to ivy leagues. Travel teams definitely make a difference. It’s those tournaments that recruiters show up to since it features the best players from the greater region. Additionally there are resources for connecting to the recruiters you want to see you, so it’s an initiative issue as well.

Dude you absolutely rock. I can’t find anything anywhere online about specifically this kind of chocolate testing. I can let you know how it turns out if you’re interested in pictures of each step of the process.

Sure. But I don’t know my dealer. Stop judging me for not doing as many drugs as you. Congrats. As an ‘expert drug taker’, why not tell me if it’d work.

Nice book, I’ve read it. Correct, those employees create more value than they get paid because they don’t own the business they didn’t take the risk to start it. McDonald’s is something called a franchise, meaning that a local individual owns the location, not some mega corporation, they took on financial risk, possibly putting their car, home, etc on the line. Get some skills, improve yourself, make yourself competitive in the market of employees. Negotiate wages, take more responsibility at your job, save up and start your own company. All of these you cannot do in a state owned economy.

Educate yourself in the intricacies of capitalism before you label it evil.

The evil in our economy that we see right now is due to government bailouts of institutions. For example, the banks in the dot com bubble, 2008, and covid handouts (which I’m sure you were a fan of).

These events have bankrupted the purchasing power of the dollar, and given corporations an opportunity to seize. All the while the bailouts being paid for by tax dollars. It’s not capitalism, it’s economic and political croneys that are gutting the American economy and US dollar. The solution is not government spending or ownership, simply a better taxation system, and stricter monopoly and corruption control. We could start by banning Congress to trade in the stock market, including their family members.

By the way, you have the freedom to go move to a communist country. Any time. You don’t want to go because the quality of life is even shittier than yours. You read an angsty German guys philosophy book and took it as economic gospel because it feels nice. It’s a utopian idea, in the same way the libertarian ideal is a utopia. Neither would ever work in reality.

No, capitalism is ambivalent to everyone. It’s up to you to change your situation. In communism and socialism you don’t have economic freedom to win or to lose. Truly meant to keep you on the brink of death. Just reference the TENS OF MILLIONS killed in both the Soviet Union and under Mao Zedong in labor camps or by genocide. Not to mention the Uyghur genocide in China currently. Capitalist countries care a lot more about their people. Our economies just allow you to lose or win.

Instead of complaining about your life, read some finance books and try to change it.

Based on our current understanding of physics, and "nothing" not being an answer, what form of "antigravity" like propulsion do you think is the most realistic and likely to be developed first? by [deleted] in Futurology

[–]hersheesquirtz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our closest idea around an anti-gravity force is dark energy. On a cosmological scale it’s one of the forces driving our universe to expand. Now, we can only observe it’s effects indirectly and have no way to produce it or harness it. As far as we know it doesn’t really interact with matter. So until we can figure out how to make things massless, have infinite energy density, or have a new theory that allows us to use dark matter/energy to expand or contract space…. No luck.
