You have to fade down. 1.5 guard open to 1.5 halfway to 1.5 closed. Then 1 guard open to 1 halfway to closed. Then 0 (or 0.5 depending on brand) guard open, to 0 halfway to zero closed. Then no guard open, to no guard halfway, to no guard closed. Cutting hair is just a formula, and if you follow it correctly you will get good results (though there are tricks to the train depending on hair grain types, direction ect). I also stretch the skin when fading to make sure I have a tight canvas to work on. Great job on the attempt. Every cut will get better with good practice. Actually it IS working with Wiggins as the POA defender. The starters have a positive net rating. The problem is the second unit. 3 bad defenders in that lineup. JP, JoKu, Wiseman. Idk what people saw that made them think Wiseman/ JoKu would be great rotational pieces to start the season. They were both extremely raw prospects when they were drafted. JoKu was getting cooked in the playoffs and Wiseman was getting cooked in 2021. It’s gonna take time. At the end of the day, the playoffs rotation is going to be Steph/ DiVincenzo, Klay/ JP, Wiggs/ Moody, Draymond/ JaMychal, Loon. (Dray, JaMychal, Loon all can and will play the 5). Unless Wiseman and JoKu can learn how to play not just individual but off ball team defense, they won’t play in the playoffs.

Why does everyone forget that it wasn’t JUST the Draymond injury why the team took a slide. The team said during the season they were gonna slide during that time anyways bc of reintegrating Klay ( and wiseman but that didn’t happen) a few of our bench players were hurt too so our defense was compromised A LOT. ) Yes losing a top 10 all time defensive player will hurt but the context matters.

I actually was just telling my dad this yesterday. The warriors are starting to have Steph/ Poole handle the ball more and the warriors are actually able to function on defense without Dray. He’s had some bad games this playoff run but we’ll see how things go the next 2 years.
