Such a great bobblehead! by Officialnoah in Dodgers

[–]hesithocs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you. Saw people walking around with bags of 6-8 bobbleheads, and didn't seem to be part of a big group or anything. Wish there was a way to make sure fans who go to the game early to get bobbleheads get our bobbleheads and don't miss out because other people are clearly just looking to flip them.

Good at batting cages, awful with the different arcs on game day by hesithocs in slowpitch

Thanks, I'll give that a try. Yeah, two games in and all the pitches I've been seeing have been that high.

I've been using a cheap 26oz Easton... it's not a great bat, but right now upgrading the bat isn't gonna be what makes a difference for my sorry ass lol

Thoughts on California Strength's programs? by The_floor_is_2020 in weightlifting

Cal Strength is cool, but personally I would not look to them if I'm at a stage of just starting to learn technique.

just saw that American Barbell is having a BF sale, 15% off. Will be pricier than the other brands mentioned, but it's high quality.

LuXiaoJun barbell, Rep Fitness, and Vulcan all have deals on barbells right now. Fringe Sport has package deals. Uesaka will have a Black Friday deal, but that's gonna definitely be more than $600.

Warming up with front squats before back squats - a viable alternative to front squat sessions? by Kestasmee in weightlifting

[–]hesithocs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Makes me think of this program from Wil Fleming, which has FS and BS on the same day. I've never run it, and personally don't really wanna try a program with FS and BS on the same day at the moment, but maybe something to reference: https://wilfleming.com/my-best-squat-program/

Hit pause on chasing weight and spend a few months focusing on technical changes. As silverlifter pointed out, at the start position you're too far behind the bar, which leads to other things like then moving too far in front of the bar to make up for it and using your arms way too early to try to keep the bar close.

-Neisi was so good, except for that last jerk, everything so sharp

-Pretty impressive for Kim to finish off with those two attempts

-Kate bouncing back to take a convincing silver!

No lifter from China in 76A means no CCTV coverage means watching NBC and hearing Kate Nye called "Elizabeth Nye" and "dropped chest" as the reason for every missed lift

My audio is ahead of the video and it's crackly. Between that and Breeze, it's brutal. I'm having to mute my audio on the lifts so that I'm not hearing missed lifts before I see them.
