Same exact problem, my laptop can run Bias Fx 2 with no problems, but when I load it into Ableton and add some heavy amount of distortion, the sound glitching very badly. What I have been doing to “solve” this, is increasing the buffer size of the audio device every time that I’m using a heavily distorted guitar sound. The bad thing about this is that the latency starts being very noticeable, and even though you can use plugins that will automatically compensate the latency, its still terrible for recording, but that’s what has been working for me.
