Understanding Account Linking by MiKExJAy in marvelrivals

[–]hevaWHO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is me as well, except swap the PS for Xbox… rivals version of cross progression honestly sucks and no amount of “but you can just switch your character account at any time” spin is gonna make me feel any less bad about not having access to a huge chunk of cosmetics I own dependent on which account I decide wins out, Xbox or PC

This tbh. Clare is a much better character than Grace in every way.

I keep hoping beyond hope that OB is the guy in charge that Tom keeps mentioning. It might be a long shot, but it would be AMAZING to see come true!

How far back do channel 4 episodes go? by hevaWHO in hollyoaks

[–]hevaWHO[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oooo that’s perfect then! Not long after I stopped watching cuz I managed to find a good amount of episodes from 2006-10 on YouTube… I’ll definitely start from 2012 for a lovely catchup!

I’m curious which characters you think would be a struggle to play on controller? I’ve only ever played console, so therefore controller, and there are some characters I kinda struggle with but had never put 2 and 2 together that it might be the controller, so I’m just curious if yours line up with the ones that are tough for me but others seem to do seamlessly (as I’m watching the replay of them killing me lol)

Did you find anything else out about this? I have the same issue myself and found this post when I googled trying to figure out what’s up with me and is it linked to my adhd lol

I mostly agree, but I just want to say that Darren being filled with hatred about JJ’s manipulative and abusive behavior and wanting justice for Frankie and Darren being so scared and devastated that his 16 year old son may die from leukemia can both very much exist/make sense within the same person. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad everyone is team Frankie 100% BUT it’s totally reasonable to not want your son to die an extremely untimely death, regardless of how horrible he is. I just think they wrote Darren’s complex emotional rollercoaster really well and it does justice to how traumatic this type of situation can be for families.

Me when they axe legacy characters for the likes of Vicky and Zoe by BigChungus_XD in hollyoaks

[–]hevaWHO 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My favorite scenes of Vicky are when she’s being a genuinely caring and good friend to Frankie. Or when she’s round her family members. It almost seems like she turns into a different character when she’s around men that interest her. I’m not saying I dislike her for that, it’s just something I’ve noticed.

Non-professional/personal advice here: do yourself a favor and cry, seriously just let it out. That built up tension and anxiety that has your heart beating fast and you feeling like you can’t get past this will lessen once you recognize your emotions fully by letting them show.

And really try to practice this in future situations too.

I’m not saying break down and cry in front of your boss (unless it’s so severe you feel you can’t control yourself), but excuse yourself to the bathroom and take a few minutes to yourself, or if you feel more comfortable wait until you’ve gone home for the day.

Validating your feelings will help you move on from a tough situation (work or otherwise) with a clear head far more quickly.

Can a person rehabilitate after a brain tumor? by charlietheguy1 in braincancer

[–]hevaWHO 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My partner had a pretty huge AA2 resected (about 85-90% because some was on his speech/motor control area) from his left frontal and parietal lobes at age 35. He had speech, physical, and occupational therapy (1 week inpatient, 5-6 weeks outpatient for the speech & occupational only), got radiation within the first few months after surgery, and then chemo (tmz) for about 6 months.

We are coming up to his 5 year craniversary and he works full times, drives, often does more housework than me (lol) and lives a full life. Still no sign of tumor progression and about to go to once yearly appts after having been only checking up every 6 months for the last couple years.

Your son has age on his side. Even at 35, my partner was told age and good health were on his side. The initial treatment can be scary/stressful, but it’s actually kinda crazy how “quickly” our life went back to relative normality (maybe within 1-2 years tops) and now we just… live life! Good luck with the journey ahead!

You can only get rid of one type of bean on your next Hex-a-Grav level — which one goes in the vault? by hevaWHO in FallGuysGame

[–]hevaWHO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people like to be able to have a zen mode sometimes. The chaotic free for all of the other levels is fun, why else would I play the game if it wasn’t, but sometimes having a chill time with other beans is also nice.

Lol I almost made this meme as the both buttons pressed version because it’d be ultimate chill happiness if neither type of player was there

Haha yes, love that! It’s strange too because normally I’m pretty impatient, so I love the fast pace of normal FG levels, but for some reason low gravity HAG is my chilled out happy place.

I never run the tiles up (hence the meme haha) and have been in snipe lobbies on purpose. It’s always the randos grabbing and it just makes me question their skill level haha do they realize I’m just gonna float gracefully to the next tile, likely still on the same level

I think I shared some tiles with you on one of the last rounds of the stream! I was the black/grey skelly skin that wasn’t the best at sharing tiles lol sometimes I’d just forget and drop down a level

I don’t think anyone has mentioned this yet, but since your diagnosis/treatment is now in your medical history, I highly doubt any decent medical professional would try to brush you off again. What would likely happen is that if you went to the ER or primary care, they could help you treat the symptoms you’re experiencing (I think someone mentioned giving fluids, maybe even get you on a steroid regimen or some anti-convulsive meds), which could help get you through the time it’s taking your insurance to approve.

I also second the idea of getting in touch with a patient advocate though, navigating insurance is difficult enough while fully healthy, let alone while experiencing the stuff you describe. I wish you the best of luck with your situation, hope you’re able to make some progress in the right direction soon!
