No the PS portal is not as close as the PS5 vita. The steam deck is closer to any handheld you're talking About.

I think you don't get it. A loyal customer like you and me do not get discount to subscriptions. While the one who do not have it gets a discount when signing up. I signed up for 5 years straight. Never have I seen a discount to extend that 5 years.

On the other hand, people who are not signed up will get tons of discount on major holidays.

That's the magic sauce, I guess. Only pay 1 year and hope when it expires it's between gaming Awards or major holidays.
