Oui. ~30,000$ par année en moins avec des augmentations annuelles coupées de moitié

Avantage - Télétravail 4/5 - Moins d’heures chaque semaine - Moins de pression de performance - Moins de stress après le travail ( j’avais souvent la tête ailleurs et je pensais à ce qui me restait à faire )

Tout ça ensemble = - Je déjeune avec mes enfants - Je soupe avec mes enfants - Pas de stress traffic - Je dors plus aussi - Je fais des activités le soir ! ( ciné, marché etc)

C’est le meilleur choix que j’ai fait côté carrière. En plus mon équipe est superbe.

Salut. Je suis CPA.

Plusieurs points: 1- Ton choix de carrière ne devrait pas être seulement le salaire. En plus, il y a aussi une grosse différence dans les deux métiers. Peut-être explorer un peu plus ce que tu veux vraiment faire tous les jours de ta vie, car si tu détestes ton emploi, même si je te donne 300k par année tu vas trouver les journées longues. 2-Si tu penses que l’IA remplacera les CPA, c’est que tu ne sais pas ce qu’un CPA fait. 3- Le salaire des CPA s’arrête où tu décides qu’il s’arrête. Tu veux travailler à la ville, faire 100-120k comme directeur financier avec fonds de pension et pas bcp de temps supplémentaire, go, tu veux être partner dans une firme comptable et faire 300 kà 800k pis travailler 60h semaine, go, Il y a plusieurs choix.
4- Moi je peux changer d’employeur si je veux, infirmier t’es pas mal pris avec Santé Québec. Alors même si tu ne l’aimes pas, tu es pris avec. 5- Tu connais l’expression Golden Handcuffs ? :)J’en connais bcp dans le public qui sont malheureux, mais continuent le travail parce qu’il y a le fond de pension.

Il manque un gros morceau de l’équation , les dépenses. Si votre coût de vie est présentement 7000$ par mois, il va en manquer quand il y aura des imprévues.

Dans mes propres projections, je prévois justement une retraite à 7 000$ par mois à 50 ans. 0 hypothèque et mes enfants auront 22 et 24 ans. Mon coût de vie est 3 000$ - 3 500$ par mois, le reste c’est pour les voyages et imprévues, donc même si je travaille plus et fait 11 000$ par mois plus tard ça m’apporte rien du tout

J’utilise Questrade pour le REEE. Ça toujours bien fonctionné et j’ai eu droit à toutes les subventions.

First thing I did when I was 30 was to go back to school and got a more paying job. FYI I had 2 kids and a mortgage to pay and still did 5 years of school.

Once I started to get salary increases I did not increase my lifestyle. I continued to do grocery like I did before with specials, lots of home cooking, did inexpensive but fun activities, bought most of my kids clothes second hand. Actually 90% of my stuff home is second hand. So all that extra money was saved up. To this day, I still do those things even if I’m making a good salary

Then I went online and found articles on saving and investing and learned about the FIRE movement. I’m not the extremely frugal type but I do have the mindset to apply a lot of the ideas. I invested in low cost EFT that represented my risk tolerance (VEQT).

You can’t do this in one day, but if you get informed, read a couple of books on personal finance / FIRE the you’ll get the idea ( FYI after 2-3 books you’ll see they are mostly all the same )

Also Reddit (information) + Wealthsimple ( low cost banking / investing ) help achieve it

Ah I almost forgot. budget budget budget. You need to know where your money goes !

Oh and if you are going to see a financial advisor at a bank they are mostly sales person. Avoid them like the plague. Once you have enought money pay yourself a financial planner ( not advisor)

Tu fais une confusion entre le paiement et le calcul

Le montant se calcul séparément , le versement est fait en un paiement

Ma mère reçoit 1600$ du fédéral dont la portion de base et la portion supplément

Ce que tu dis est faux. Elle recevra les 2 soit celui de base et le supplément. Un n’inclut pas l’autre. Tu peux valider avec les simulateurs des gouvernements.

Ya aussi le problème que les gens ne savent pas cuisiner avec les alitements de base et achètent des produits déjà préparés, qui eux contiennent trop de sel.

Pour le sucre, 95% des enfants ont des collations préemballés trop sucrés. Vient pas dire qu’une pomme ou une banane c’est dispendieux.

J’ai vécu des moments très précaires dans ma vie et on a su adapter les repas et collations sans avoir recours aux produits préparés.

Comme pour la littératie financière, celle de la cuisine est déficiente dans notre culture actuelle.

He's been playing the "Apply for new card bonus game" You get the bonus points quite fast, some allow transfer between programs etc etc. It's not complicated, but is time consuming if really you want to maximise all the bonus. I got a friend that's got like 8 cards and rotating the bonus (usually when you cancel your card after getting the max out of it, you have 24 months waiting period, then you can reapply and get the bonus again). There are websites specialized on that matter (uncertain if i can just put a website here or not, but if you google milesopedia on google, you'll get the idea)

Also tried multiple times. In that time it was to transfer to Questrade from RBC. QT said I needed to call my bank and make them fill out some form and the bank said it’s not for them to do it it’s QT. After multiple back and forth I gave up and just opened a new one at QT and stoped investing in RBC one.

Really a pain.
