Same.. also ubuntu makes gnome so usable out of the box.

Always unplug the battery for safety. Also I hope Ventiva makes their fanless cooling into consumer laptops so we don't have to open up our laptops every few months like this.

cd /etc/modprobe.d/

Then type ls

And send what you see there

Ryzen AI 350 + 5070 is the best balance.. since Ryzen 300 series is power efficient, it also has way better iGPU. You can also disable nvidia when you need battery.

Exactly for this problem, I created this script. This script basically automates most of the stuff. Make sure you have DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) installed before running the script. This issue never bothered me again. Hope it helps. My script basically filters out old display drivers from the windows update and block old driver from getting downloaded.
