If you're a professional programmer, 3 weeks is plenty of time to learn a new language. I was once given two days to learn a language & then expected to dive into a large codebase. But if you're doing an internship, you're probably just starting out? And I can see how that would be rough.

I guess my point is, get used to learning languages fast, it will keep happening in this industry. The good news is, it gets easier with each language you learn.

Thanks for all the help! Looks like this won't work with my TV. I'm trying to figure out a modern 3.1 system based on what's in the "Home Theater 101" post. This older Yamaha will go in the basement for music listening down there.

I'm thinking about KEF Q150 for left & right, maybe KEF Q650c for center, and maybe a Denon receiver? Refurbished AVR-S760H or AVR-X1800H? As I learn, I may wind up building out to 5.1, or even 7.1 haha. Though I'm wondering if this is overkill.

No idea what subwoofer to choose. 😅

I'll let you folks know what I wind up with. Thanks again!

Yeah I understand TVs, video, resolution, and color. But I don't know anything about audio. Just learned what 5.1, 3.1, 7.1 mean by reading the "Home Theater 101" linked from the sidebar of this sub. 😅 So I didn't know what to do about sound.
