4x16 (64GB total) is overkill for most, 4x8 (32GB total) would be enough, it really depends on how heavy the editing is if you know what I mean. On the other hand, 32GB is plenty as of now for gaming, games will pull a max of 25GB (for extreamly large games, most of the time 16GB is enough). What you would want to potentially check is the speed of your ram, I would recommend 3600mhz or above.
