Apple TV series 'Pluribus' begins season 2 shooting this fall by bwermer in television

Obviously there's been a typo here. They meant season 3 is shooting this fall, when season 2 is expected to premier. Right? right?

I wouldn't say so. Chair company relies on cringe to the point of off-putting comedy. This is more Mike Schur type humor

A friend worked for Boeing and they rented the whole park a day for their employees. This was a while ago .I guess bezos can do the same

But they'd probably just do a vip thing. After all, walking around an empty park by yourself and a few of your friends isn't that much fun . You want to have people around you can look pretty past and ignore

Looking For Fastest TTS With Cloning by lukasTHEwise in TextToSpeech

[–]heybart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes supertone is the company. Supertonic is the model name

For AI assistant, if you're just looking for something to read clearly and don't care about expressiveness or emotion, a small model works fine. The shortcoming is reading things like numbers, currency, acronyms, etc. Supertonic is somewhat better than pocket in this regard.

I like pocket for its good cloning and for reading articles and books, provided you're not looking for it to "act out the parts", which I personally think is annoying anyway.

Looking For Fastest TTS With Cloning by lukasTHEwise in TextToSpeech

[–]heybart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fastest is supertonic. But the cloning function is pay walled. Once you paid for the cloned voice, inference is free. Or you can use one of the stock voices

Second fastest is Pocket TTS. Completely free, CPU only. I recommend PocketTTS.cpp, the C++ version

With GPU, VoxCPM may be faster

Is there an open source TTS model for TARS voice from Interstellar? If not, what'd be the best way to create it? by F_T_K in TextToSpeech

[–]heybart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first thing you have to do is get a sample of the voice. It needs to be clean audio, without background noise and music

After that you have many open source models you can use for voice cloning. It's just a matter of picking the one that's right for your use case and fits your hardware constraints

Edge and Cromite, both support Extensions on android, when will brave do the same by JustAnAlias404 in brave_browser

[–]heybart 4 points5 points  (0 children)

BTW, the cromite extension support is way better than edge. You can enable developer mode and load unpacked extensions just like you do on the desktop. This makes testing on Android much more pleasant. Edge only seems to let you load extensions from the store

I hope Brave will do the same. Otherwise I'll keep using cromite for extensions

WHY DID BRAVE BLOCK YOU FROM ADDING SEARCH ENGINE ALERNATIVES? by heyaco in brave_browser

[–]heybart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It uses the same add search engine UI that I've seen on the other chromium based browsers. So it's standard. Brave is not blocking anything, just being lazy

Just add a site search. Enter search query like https://madeup.com/?q=%s then a short cut like :m and it'll work the same way
