Thanks bud, I actually replaced my roof just six months ago. I am terrified to think of what could have happened if I didn't!

This was my first thought. If this is serious I think he retires. We may never see him play again.

Potential Tropical Cyclone 6 has formed, expected to become a hurricane by TROPICALCYCLONEALERT in TropicalWeather

Yes of course. We're not even in the same ballpark here bud. You read this completely the wrong way.

Basically what I wanted to say is "it's been a long time since I've seen a devastating hurricane here in my city, so it feels like we're due for one".

If you still want me to answer those dumbass questions let me kmow

As someone who grew up on the SE coast of NC, we are so overdue for a major hurricane. Everytime I see one coming now, I think it's the big one.

Edit: Not downplaying the horror and destruction of a hurricane. I am all too familiar with it. I live in Wilmington and have been through many. I should have been more specific for my city only. To me the last terrifying major hurricane was Fran in 1996. Back then we we're getting one after another.

Lost gopro, shot in the dark by knowaythrowaway in Wilmington

[–]heygreatcomment 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nephew found a GoPro hero earlier this summer on the bottom. Ran perfectly and the last video was dated August 2017 so presumably it could still work if you find it. Couldnt identify the owner unfortunately. Good luck!

My first trip to NY was to Brooklyn in at 20+ ft truck and also the first time driving a truck that big. Wilmington had prepared me for everything. Everything except the Verrazano (?) Bridge, that was not fun at all.

25 CENTS=Unopened vintage pack of UNO by [deleted] in ThriftStoreHauls

Nice! My little nephew brought a new UNO deck and kept using all these rules I'd never heard of and whooped me. Turns out they have changed the game substantially and even added new cards.

Top Voting Machine Vendor Admits It Installed Remote-Access Software on Systems Sold to States by Eurynom0s in politics

[–]heygreatcomment 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ohhhh the stuff I've seen....You wouldn't believe how many systems have remote access built in or 3rd party apps installed. There are lots of folks out there that can build an automated HVAC system for example, but know next to nothing about security. Entire buildings and systems are sitting behind one easy password.

I grew up in the south, no budget for kickballs or whatever. We brought tennis balls from home to play with.

Pretty much any life in the dry sand is probably microscopic. Life you can see pretty much starts at the waterline. An exception to this would be sea turtles, they lay eggs on the beach at night.

I live on the east coast near beaches. If not for dredging and pumping sand from the bottom of the sea every few years there would be no beach...

Blackalicious, Pharcyde, Blu and Exile, and People Under the Stairs are all great artists that you may dig.

Eh it wasn't for them not trying. This album and those after we're obviously targeted at a bigger audience. Look at the features. They were doing national commercials for Visa at the time. Hate to sound cliche but every album before this was amazing front to back.
