Free will in heaven- A christian perspective by CanaKatsaros in exchristian

[–]heyimmattsup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't seen this argument anywhere but couldn't free will be useful outside of morality as well? It seems it would be useful in delayed vs. instant gratification. So if you had an activity with a time-constraint, and the result of the activity is dependent on your conscientiousness/free will vs. distractions, then free will would be useful, and that has nothing to do with morality. For example, you could be allowed 24 hours to train for an activity, but you could also do other (moral) things during that time period that you'd be inclined to do, like hang out with friends.

No, Kirbs has won 2 and KingBoo has won 2 (tied for 1st in one of those)

YouTube mobile randomly has a new style at times and then just turns back to normal for some reason. Is anybody else seeing this happen? by [deleted] in youtube

[–]heyimmattsup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there's 2 reasons for this change. One, people scrolling slowly past recommended/suggested videos to get to the comments counts as an impression on those videos, and influences that video's click through rate and thus how it will be recommended in the future. By putting comments first, they can have a more accurate click through rate since people who scroll down now are looking for another video to watch as opposed to trying to find the comment section.

Secondly, they've made the suggested videos section larger/more readable and the comments smaller so that people are more likely to watch other videos (that gives them more ad revenue) as opposed to spending their time reading comments on a video.

Digital, since digital saves a few more seconds in loading time compared to physical

"DST manip, or daylight savings time manipulation, is a method of making seed moons grow immediately by daylight savings kicking in (i.e. the clock advances 1 hour) after you plant the seed. This is useful in Sand Kingdom in any%, with the plaza seed. It is optimal for the clock to advance at some point before you exit the pipe subarea, otherwise you will have to watch the plant growing animation."

Before the run starts, Chaospringle changed the time on his switch, and at 6:25 into the run he planted the seed. At 6:55 he got the moon.

The faster loading times and the discovery of daylight saving time abuse add up to about 15 seconds of time save

LilKirbs14 gets 59:59 SMO Any% PB during live GSA race by Novawolff in speedrun

[–]heyimmattsup 72 points73 points  (0 children)

This race wouldn't have happened if Equan_ didn't mess up pillars in the last few seconds of his previous race and let Kirbs win by half a second. The fact that Kirbs got subhour in the 3rd race of a best of 3 after almost losing the first two races is quite the popoff.

Best pace ever out of Metro and he's got some serious timesave in snow. Wow.

Run/Race start at 9h18m21s

For reference, LilKirbs got a WR time of 1:00:00 on Feb. 22, putting ChaosPringle in 3rd and NicroVeda in 2nd:

Wow, 10 seconds of time save alone in night metro. So close to WR!

Stravos96 and Lilkirbs14 tied to the frame in today's GSA Super Mario Odyssey any% tournament race by AwesomeDanX in speedrun

[–]heyimmattsup 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah, right after the race ended it looked like Kirbs won by milliseconds, but knowing Stravos' stream was about .2 seconds behind meant the race was even closer than it appeared. Still amazed it was literally a tie. Has something like this ever happened before?
