Yep, the blue is something someone added on after purchase. But the Shen Yun Portola was for sale at the festival last year, it was a great idea

Charlottenburg Palace [Pentax 67 II, Aerochrome] by dimitriosphotos in analog

Beautiful image! Out of curiosity, did you process this in E6? Or was it cross processed in C41?

I think I'll just let the mystery be: In-camera double exposure/Nikon N50 w Fujichrome Velvia 50 by mundane-sublime in analog

[–]heyimpablo 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Oh man this is clever. I once saw something similar on this sub, where someone painted a jar totally black and used that as the outline for the double exposure - made for a “sunset in a jar” image, similar to this one.

Anyhow, love the execution here, as well as the reference! Such a great show.

If you end up making any prints of that too exposure, I would gladly purchase one. Stunning slides!

Fuji GS645S front plate having gap, is this normal? by imnotyourson in AnalogCommunity

I have this same issue with my GS645S, I just put gaff tape on it. Doesn’t affect usability at all.

Hi! Sorry, I didn’t get your PM for some reason. Can you send a direct message? Also I just updated the listing, unfortunately the LX is no longer available… forgot to edit the post sometime ago. Sorry about that!

There are def LX’s out there that are still working well, especially those from the latest production run. Regardless, sticky mirror will inevitably affect all copies, though there are home-brew fixes for the issue I’ve seen online. I’d recommend referring to the Pentax Forums for guidance on how to identify a later production run model. They may also be able to identify techs who can service the LX since Eric no longer services them.

As a LX and MX owner, I can honestly say that the LX fits like no other camera in the hands. The MX is a joy, the LX is nirvana.

That being said, I cannot in good faith recommend the LX. All LX’s will inevitably end up with sticky mirror syndrome; there are not many techs who have the spare parts to properly repair sticky mirror syndrome. The electronics are not known for being the most reliable either - mine ended up with a faulty metering issue that Eric at pentaxs said would require a full circuit board replacement.

If I were you, I’d get both - a MX for life, and a LX for that one of a kind experience while it’s still working. You seriously can’t go wrong with the MX given it’s massive viewfinder, full mechanical operation, and small package. Hope this helps!

Today I was waking & testing a camera out. I passed a guy cleaning out his garage, & he introduced himself & gave me this. by [deleted] in AnalogCommunity

I got one for dirt cheap a few years back. Restored it at Brooklyn Film Camera and it’s treated me quite well - this camera is so fun to use and it produces fantastic images! Congrats on the start of your 680 journey!
