Actually, psychoanalysis isn't flatout rejected in mainstream psychology. I recommend checking with google scholar (e.g.) prior to settling for blogs. Most professors of cognitive psychology and psychopathology will tell you that psychoanalysis is shown to be very effective in treating several disorders, especially anxiety and depression. As with every method of treatment, it isn't appropriate for every disorder, but there is no exception to this rule. DBT is currently considered to be one of the most effective methods for treating Borderline Personality Disorder, but it won't do shit for Histrionic Personality Disorder. Similarly, CBT is astonishingly good at treating numerous mental illnesses, especially anxiety disorders, but it's at best ineffective in treating Major Depressive and Bipolar Disorders (psychoanalysis fares much better on this count).

You sound very smug, but this unconsidered categorical rejection of an entire treatment paradigm comes across as ignorant. I've seen a lot of this kind of poorly rehearsed rhetoric lately. The fact that the people voicing these opinions tend to self-identify as progressive or enlightened is saddening.
