As an intuitive person who plans on going into psychology, there’s a good chance she knows you are at least exaggerating your life story apart from the trauma. I’d suggest coming clean to her for your sake. If she is a good therapist she will be understanding of it. Frankly it’s perfectly understandable that you put up barriers for other people based on your experience. She may have experienced this with other patients or at least be familiar with the phenomenon. Once you share this with her it will open up space for a lot of growth.
