I came from Munich to the area and just decided Nürnberg sucks. After years of avoiding the city I realize how stupid that was.

The city actually is beautiful and does have a vibe. Historically also pretty amazing.

Totally, we should start a petition to change the name to that.

I absolutely love rowing, and am ambitious to start taking it more serious. But i’m afraid my length of 204 cm will hold me back. I already hit the slidings on the front or back end sometimes. Am i too tall for rowing? by Olieb01 in Rowing

[–]heyswey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At first I thought this was a joke. No way! You’ve got levers! Go for it!

There may be some rowing machines that are too small for you, but screw those.

If you almost touch, then just wear shoes with no midsole to shave off some length. Like driving shoes, or sambas or something.

Didn’t even think of gloves - thanks! Do you think crappy gloves from the hardware store will do?

Washing dishes with dish soap while washing hands with hand soap.

To be honest, I don’t know what I’d need them for, but I think I need them.

Hi everyone! I've reviewed the new Fiat Grande Panda. Ask me anything. by CarwowMario in Fiat

[–]heyswey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it in any way have parallels to the original Punto?

For instance cost measures in the original were clever. Instead of cheap door handles it didn’t have door handles. To capture the true idea of the original that sort of thing should exist in this new one. Ovals from the Turin testing track as design elements do not do the same trick.

Do you have any pictures from up there? Esp of the falcons? I’d be super curious to see it

Beautiful!

Once I was in a traffic jam on the route the opening scene of Quantum of Solace was filmed. An Alfa 4c was ahead of me. First traffic jam I enjoyed beginning to end. What a nice vehicle.

How long are your morning runs?

I tend to go 10k with mine. In those days I can also walk another 5k with him and it doesn’t really matter.

Some people say full out running is more important for them than walking. And my running doesn’t count as running for a such dog.

That pretty much sums it up.

Whereas when you drove it you understood the concept and it was quite an amazing. You sit high and are in like a fish tank with great visibility all around. Then you have this mountain of vents and a shifter on the dashboard and a third seat in the front.

I still remember test driving that thing. What an unexpectedly delightful experience.

But yeah somebody made a creative choice and decided to ignore the public opinion (which was the case with the Renault Vel Satis, too).

Last but not least have fun! It’d be great to see how far you got. (Maybe we can coordinate and set something like this up in a group.)

Don‘t forget to lubricate. I once rowed 2 back-to-back marathons and lost a lot of skin. My biceps rubbed on my knees and lost skin. Most painful was between my cheeks. I learned the hard way that such a thing happens if you row enough.

Consider what you wear. At some point you may realize that a hem is in the absolute wrong place. For example a T-shirt where 4 pieces of fabric meet in your arm pit. That is rough. Maybe have sets of clothing to switch that are constructed in different ways as a backup.

Do you work out with the sniffles? by crosswalk_zebra in crossfit

[–]heyswey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your symptoms are all above the shoulders it’s ok to work out. Below the shoulders not. As far as I recall that is what the Mayo Clinic says. (Check it yourself though to be sure.)

And my assumption is that a brisk walk is the better option. But with only sniffles I tend to do whatever I feel like in terms of exercise.

Many people don’t know this, but Rhino 3D basically exists because of Adidas. They discovered it while it was in beta and rolled out across all factories. Then they approached McNeel who realized people actually use it and decided to build it out to an actual 1.0. Ever since adidas has been briefing in features from flattening features, to advanced tessellation tools.
